“Okay Atsumu, checking places, and you’re going on stage in 3, 2, 1. OK let's get this stage started. Positions ready and begin to sing NOW.” Atsumu followed the instructions he heard in his in-ear headphones, grabbed the mic and sang the very first note after months.
“There's a fire starting in my heart.” He sang. Ah, the very first sentence of the song he wrote without having any intention it would go viral. It was just his normal day, feeling very happy as he walked into his house. A typical day for him to be walking back home from his shift of recording his newly written song about his current lover, Sakura Kiyoomi. Sakusa has been supporting Atsumu way before Atsumu got famous. To celebrate their 5 years relationship, Atsumu had specifically written this song for him to propose to him as well during his concert tour. All came crashing down when he saw sakusa’s luggage and items all packed up waiting outside their shared apartment Atsumu was confused and walked into his house, trying to find any traces of sakusa. He saw sakusa standing at the dining table. Before Atsumu could speak, sakusa gave him their promise rings and said, “let's end this relationship, it won’t go anywhere far since you’re so famous now.” And he left. Just like that. Atsumu crashed to the floor. In pain? In shock? Disbelief? He didn’t know. He cooped up in. His own home. His managers couldn’t contact him and all his albums, concerts and fan meet have either been cancelled or postponed. Many fans were confused due to his disappearance. Only months later of being cooped up in his room, he decided that enough was enough. He switched on his laptop and started to type in his lyrics and make his own beat and music. He went with what he desperately wanted kiyoomi to know. He NEEDED him to know that they could have had everything but he just decided to leave him just like that. Atsumu took a deep breath as he started his chorus. “We could have had it all~” as the background singers started, “ you’re gonna wish that you never had left.” After repeating it several times, Atsumu belted the last part, “we could have had it all~ rolling in the deep~” you had my heart inside my hand, but you’d played it, played it to the beat~” with that, his performance ended with a loud standing ovation. He couldn’t believe he got this far. After his concert, his phone was ringing non-stop. It was filled with notifications like, “as usual Atsumu never disappoints.” As well as many of his celebrity friends messaging him, “congrats bro, when’s the next bomb comin.” He smiled as he walked into his private room. As he opened his door, he saw sakusa kiyoomi standing right over there. His smile dropped “ Atsumu…” he started. “ It's miya for you, not Atsumu.” “It was my fault Atsumu, please don’t be like this.” Atsumu looked at him coldly. “Maybe you shouldn’t have broken up with me back then, security!” As the security guided Sakusa out, Atsumu slammed his door shut before falling to his knees, crying.
“I wanted you to regret leaving me, but why am I the one hurting the most…”
