Chapter Text
It was quiet.
Once, Tubbo would've been happy that this was the case, but now it made him nauseous.
The laughs and bickering could not be heard for a few weeks now. It was just him and Michael in snowchester.
Jack has long left to tend to "his" hotel, never actually saying he left snowchester. Puffy never lived there, and since there was no one to buy her cookies she hasn't come around in a long time. Foolish joined some new thing called "las Nevadas". Tommy was busy with the newly revived Wilbur. Wilbur who he still hasn't talked to. He wasn't particularly bothered by the last one, he missed Tommy, but he can do without more trauma from Wilbur.
But then there was Ranboo.
His platonic husband, who spent a lot of his days with him and their son in his home. Now, however, he was nowhere to be seen.
He was probably with Phil and Techno, safe and sound. Tubbo was happy that at least he was safe, but he missed him. He missed Ranboo and Tommy, but it looked as if they did not feel the same.
He understood. If he could he would choose anyone else, but alas he is stuck with himself. He was stuck in his hurt, small body. He hated being small compared to all of the people who towered over him. He wanted to be tall like Tommy, Wilbur, or Ranboo. Because on this server, appearances matter if you want people to take you seriously. It was one of the reasons he never wore his green button-up for months now. It made him feel like a child running through the tall grass again. He can't let himself feel like that anymore. It hurt more than he wanted to admit. He missed the feeling of being wanted or loved.
He knew he could easily Send a message to any of his friends, but a little voice in the back of his head was telling him that there was a reason no one visited. They wanted him gone from their lives. He was impulsive, ignorant, he hurt them on more than one occasion so he wasn't surprised.
He started to hate the cold. It reminded him of what was missing.
His thoughts were interrupted by someone tugging at his pants. He looked down to see Michael trying to show him a drawing. He bent down, smiling at his son even tho he already knew what the drawing was.
It was Tommy, Ranboo, Michael and him standing next to each other. He patted the small ziglins hair and told him how proud he was. The little kid hugged him then ran away giggling, looking for his chicken. As Tubbo watched his son an idea came to him.
There was one person he hasn't seen in a long time, who would also be happy to see Michael.
-Hey kiddo! What would you say if we went on a little trip?
---------------
It didn't take much time to pack their things. Tubbo only packed a few necessities for himself, then some warm clothes and toys for Michael. As they were packing Michael turned to him.
-Papa, is Dada or Mimi coming?
Tubbo tried to seem nonchalant and kept smiling.
--I'm sorry Michael but Dada and Mimi are very busy right now. But don't worry, we'll see them when we come back.
He wasn't sure when they wanted to return but that didn't matter right now. Michael seemed satisfied with his answer and then turned to put away his Enderman plushy. He always said it reminded him of Ranboo and also it was Tommy who made it for him.
Before they left the house to get on a boat Tubbo decided to leave a message. He at least had to let Ranboo know where Michael was.
He put the letter on the fridge, right next to the countless drawings of them made by Michael. They walked out the door, his son holding his plush chicken in his hands while he carried the bags and some boxes to their boat. They hopped in and started towards the ocean. Michael waved goodbye to their home.
-BYE-BYE HOME! THELL DADA AND MIMI I LOVE THEM!!
And with that, they disappeared on the horizon.
