Work Text:
After the rush has gone
I hope you find a little more time
Remember we were partners in crime
Putting the gold ring on top of the letter he’d written he took one more look around the place that had been their home.
Really, he hadn’t been that surprised, his husband and always wanted children after all. And in a way he couldn’t blame him, they’d spoken about adopting more than once. That it’d had never been the right time should have been a warning or three.
His holdall had nothing but his clothes and a few photos in it. He was pretty much leaving as he came into their relationship. The important bits of his life, aside from the pictures of his parents and pack had never really left his fathers place. And those that had were more or less split between Derek and Peter. Books with Peter and magic stuff with Derek.
Lydia had a few of his nick-knacks, while Jackson and Danny looked after his more important computer stuff, their server having all his back-ups.
It was only when he thought about that there was any realisation that maybe they’d not really joined their lives together as such, which in a way hurt more than the fact that he was leaving.
Touching the door frame as he walked out, fresh wards settled on the apartment, an intent ward and one that told any supernatural there was protection in place, it was the least he could do. Mountain ash had been part of the paint they’d used when they’d first moved in to redecorate, and it would take several coats over the top to negate it.
Both Peter and Derek were waiting from him as he left, he was pretty sure his Dad would have been there too if he hadn’t been on shift.
Both of the Wolves had offered him rooms at their places, but he’d decided to move back in with his Dad.
Back where it had all started.
