Following their chat, their relationship seemed to thrive. They spent every evening together, went on a couple of dates, and Jane stayed the night more often than not. Jane felt great having gotten his thoughts out there without being rejected. Cho was thrilled Jane had been willing to share his feelings with him.
Their next case came a week later and involved a man named Paul Fricke, who is a major player when it comes to women. Cho spent most of his time during the case conducting interviews and didn’t get to spend much time with Jane. That was until Jane came up with a plan that needed Cho’s suave, no nonsense demeanor.
Jane took Cho shopping for sexy, expensive clothes, much to Cho’s chagrin. Jane had a great time dressing Cho up, enjoying seeing Cho in the different outfits. In the end they ended up with a black silk shirt and black suit jacket. Jane also threw in some black shades, though Cho thought it’s a ridiculous idea. While Jane went off, Cho spotted something in the jewelry section and bought it discreetly.
That evening, Cho was sent in to the wolves den to flirt with several women, get rejected and entice Fricke’s ex, Katie, to come back to a room with him. Cho hated every single minute of it, feeling like he was betraying Jane the whole time.
Jane originally loved the idea of sending Cho in, knowing he’d be the perfect option since he was sexy and could actually flirt very well. However, as he watched Cho flirt with the women, he ended up getting frustrated and jealous. The other’s noticed Jane’s mood shift throughout the sting, and only Rigsby knew why. Lisbon asked if he was alright, and Jane just waved her off. There was no way he was admitting to Lisbon that he was jealous.
They easily caught the killer and Jane headed to the bar, where he was supposed to meet Cho. He ended up helping Fricke and Katie get together while he’s waiting. Then he rejected a woman who approached him, claiming to be married.
Finally, Cho finished his work and met Jane at the bar. They each got a drink, and chatted. Rigsby stopped by before he went home and mentioned to Cho that Jane got jealous during the sting. Jane vehemently denied it, but Cho was pleased.
When they finished their drinks, Cho walked over to the bartender to pay. Jane watched and couldn’t take his eyes off Cho in that outfit. He was very pleased with his purchases. Jane made a show of looking Cho up and down when the man walked back over. Cho smirked.
“Like what you see?”
“Absolutely. You should wear clothes like this more often.”
“I can’t afford more clothes like this.”
“I’ll just have to slip similar clothes into your closet when you’re not looking.”
Cho shook his head. “Let’s go.”
They headed out of the resort and Jane drove them to Cho’s apartment.
When they got to Cho’s apartment, Cho went to change, but Jane stopped him. He really liked Cho in that outfit. Jane pulled Cho into a kiss and they slowly made their way to the couch. They made out for a while, Jane straddling Cho’s lap. Jane trailed kisses down Cho’s jaw, relishing in the low groans Cho made.
After a while, they relaxed on the couch, in each other’s arms. Cho pulled Jane close before grabbing something out of his inner jacket pocket. He handed the small jewelry box to Jane.
Jane was surprised for once. He took the box and opened it. Inside was a simple yet classy golden chain necklace. Jane looked at Cho, confused. Cho looked a little hesitant.
“You said you wore your wedding ring to remember Angela. I thought this was another way you could wear it without it being on your finger. Wear it on the chain and keep her close to your heart.”
Jane felt like he was going to cry. He hadn’t been given such a thoughtful gift in years. He and Cho sat up. Jane handed the chain to Cho who unlatched it. Jane looked down at his wedding ring, took a deep breath, and slid it off his finger. He slipped it onto the chain and Cho put the necklace on him. He looked down and grabbed the ring, tears in his eyes. Cho wrapped his arms around Jane and held him as the man let the tears fall.
Jane hadn’t felt so cared for in years, not since Angela. He leaned into Cho’s hold and turned his head to kiss the man. Gently kisses of love turned desperate as the tears stopped. Jane once again straddled Cho’s lap. Tongue was added and Jane slipped his hands under Cho’s shirt and let them roam. Cho kept his hands on Jane’s hips until Jane took their hands and raised them to start unbuttoning his shirt.
On all previous days, clothes had stayed on to keep things in check, so this was new territory for them. Cho quickly unbuttoned Jane’s shirt and slipped it off. He trailed kisses down Jane’s jaw and neck to his chest. Jane’s noises were filthy and Cho could barely keep himself from dragging Jane to the bedroom. Then Jane whispered the exact words he wanted to hear.
“I want you to fuck me.”
Cho stopped what he was doing and looked at Jane. “You sure?”
Jane nodded, a smile on his face. “Absolutely.”
The next minute was a quick dash to the bedroom, clothes stripped along the way. Jane let Cho take control and was pushed down onto the bed after all their clothes were gone. Cho climbed on top of Jane and kissed him, hard.
Patrick and Kimball laid next to each other, lazily catching their breath. Patrick had a bright smile on his face and Kimball couldn’t help but smile too.
