This was not how Marinette wanted to start her day. Two weeks. Only two darn weeks she’d been living in Gotham and here she was stuck in an arsed-up attempt to rob a coffee shop. Why would anyone even bother to rob this place. The only answer she could think of, ‘it’s Gotham so why not'.
Marinette was done. Done with Paris. Done with her old life. Done with being Ladybug. Done with her perfect relationship with Adrien Agreste. She wanted to be done with being the Guardian of 19 small gods but that wasn’t an option. So here she was after packing her life up, in a coffee shop with a gun against her head.
Marinette meets a talk dark stranger.... you know how it goes, or at least how it should go. But this is Marinette Dupain Cheng and Jason Todd's life so noting goes quite like it should.
