   Whumptober 2021: Day 9 Rumors of My Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated (Presumed) Death, tears

   Dirk dies. Todd and Farah find him and have to deal with the horribly normal and human way he dies, coping with the loss of someone they both cared about dearly. But as they deal, there are pieces that stick out, things that don't fit that make them think that things aren't all they seem.

   Trigger warning: First chapter deals entirely with the finding of a dead body (not bloodied or disfigured), but described multiple times. Grief/mourning throughout, some swearing, pararibulitis attacks
