Connor is the older brother. He was the one that was in charge of looking for his little sister when she went "missing", he was the one who found her when he went into the Arcade Cabinet™, he is the one who makes sure she isn't practically dead.
If anything, she should be looking up to him.
But it's practically the opposite.
He's been finding himself looking up to her, wanting to be like her. But why? She isn't tough, like him. She's more meek than anything. It's not the fact that she has a relationship and he's still single either. No, it's.. more specific details.
She has the hair he wants, the feminine look he wants, the cutesy ways he wants to act. She has an excuse to wear feminine and be feminine; it's because she's female! Connor wants a excuse to do that, it's frustrating even.
She even gets referred to as a woman, the she/her pronouns and all. She even has a feminine name. He wants that. He wants all of that.
Why can't he have that?
Why can't he change his gender right then and there? Just for all that?
...
'That... actually doesn't sound like a bad idea...' He thinks. But he keeps that to himself. For a long time, he kept these thoughts and feelings to himself. He always thought that the concept would weird everyone out.
Except maayyybe Itsumi's partner, the kid who asked Connor to refer to them as "nonbinary" when Connor called them a "boy."
Maybe he could ask them about these feelings?
Suddenly, in the middle of 'his' thoughts, 'his' sister suddenly grabbed the blanket off of 'him' and 'his' mattress.
Itsumi: "Get up, dork."
Connor got up, pretending to yawn as if 'he' was sleeping this entire time. "Let me guess...10 AM?"
Itsumi: "Yep."
'His' thoughts wandered around for a bit. What did 'he' want to do today? No, what did 'he' NEED to do today?
...
Connor: "Hey, sis, I know this is weird and all but.. Where is your partner? Can I...talk to them real quick? Like, after I get my coffee and that jazz?"
Itsumi seemed suspicious, but given the look on Connor's face, it must be for a good reason. And plus, Salty is getting used to her 'brother' and vice versa, so Connor's talk with them may actually bond them a little bit?
Itsumi: "Salty usually hangs around the park at this time of day. You should go check there."
Connor gave Itsumi a thumbs up. "Alright alright, I'll see you in a bit, sis."
'He' stands up from 'his' bed, before walking out of the bedroom. Connor will just go get 'his' coffee and then maybe...just maybe..
