Yuuji was laying on his bed, engrossed in a book. It was late, and he was exhausted...but he couldn't sleep. Yuuji placed his book on his chest and gazed into the ceiling, as if he were searching for something.
He was about to fall fast asleep, until he heard a soft tapping sound at the door. He sat up quickly, ran to the door, and eagerly opened it. Megumi, a boy a few centimeters taller than Yuuji, stood silently.
" 'Gumi! "
Yuuji smiled.
"Hey. Yuuji, can we...umm..."
Yuuji raised an eyebrow in bafflement as he tilted his head to the side.
"Hm?"
He hesitated for a moment to think.
Ah! What if I fucked up on something?
Are we... breaking up?
What the hell is he going to ask me?
Wait.
His face lit up and realized what Megumi wanted to say. He seized Megumi's hand in his own and dragged him into his little dorm room, closing the door silently behind him. Yuuji let go of Megumi's hand, caressed his cheeks, kissed him gently on the nose, and backed away slowly. Rosebushes of red bloomed across Megumi's cheeks. Yuuji grinned and softly kissed him on the forehead.
"Sleep?" Yuuji questioned.
Instead of responding verbally, Megumi nodded. He was too reluctant to ask to sleep and cuddle alongside him directly. Megumi slipped into Yuuji's bed, as Yuuji discarded his uniform and put on his pajamas.
Yuuji finished putting on his shirt and joined Megumi. Yuuji kissed Megumi's forehead as he wrapped his arms around him.
Megumi smiled as he encircled Yuuji with his arms and buried his face into his chest. Megumi shifted his head away from his chest moments later and realigned himself with Yuuji so that their faces were only a few inches apart.
Megumi cupped Yuuji's cheek and moved in to give him a slow kiss. Yuuji sat up and leaned over Megumi, pecking him all across his face. Megumi giggled timidly and brought the covers over his head.
Yuuji followed him under the covers and kissed Megumi on the nose straight away.
"You're so cute, 'Gumi," he proudly exclaimed, as his face lit up. Yuuji kissed his forehead for the millionth time. With one of his two hands, he stroked Megumi's hair while holding him in his arms.
Megumi nestled his face in Yuuji's chest once again. Both of them drifted to sleep in each other's arms.
