Work Text:
He heard a loud sigh behind his back. Akaashi turned his head to the sound, the sight of a frustrated Bokuto trying to style his hair in a comfortable way that could look pretty welcoming him. The younger couldn’t help but stare at his partner, a little smile on his lips, debating between helping him or continuing watching. The view was, he had to admit, entertaining. After a minute or two of seeing the silvernett struggle with his look, he approached him, causing the other to look at him.
“Akaashi, help me!” he cried, clinging to his boyfriend’s arm.
“I told you you had to cut it, it’s too long”
He gestured him to sit in the nearest chair while he was picking the things he needed to properly style the other’s bicolor hair. After placing a few hairpins and a hair tie in his hand, he took a brush and started brushing gently the gray and black strands. Akaashi could hear Bokuto humming softly, completely relaxed under his touch. Leaving his bangs as they were (they weren’t long enough to annoy the older and, he had to admit, he loved the sight of his lover with his hair down) the younger male took a big strand of hair, dividing it into three parts and starting to braid it. When he was done, we did the same on the other side of his head, putting both braids together along with the rest of his hair, styling it on a low ponytail. When he finished Bokuto looked at himself in the mirror, his mouth agape and eyes shining. He quickly turned to Akaashi.
“I didn’t know you can style people’s hair too!” he exclaimed, excited at his new discovery. “I think I’ll let my hair this long. I like this hairstyle, and the feeling of your fingers through my hair. If I cut it now, I won’t have an excuse to use when I want you to stroke it” he then looked him more deeply in the eyes. “You really can do everything, you know? That only stands my theory that you’re perfect”
Akaashi blushed, rapidly covering his cheeks with his hands. He always wondered how could his boyfriend say that kind of things so naturally, and without any shame, too. He felt Bokuto standing in front of him, pulling him into his warm embrace.
“I love you too”
He left a quick peck in the taller’s cheek before pulling away, intertwining their hands.
“We should be going, I don’t think it’s long until our turn”
Happily, Bokuto nodded.
“We’ll win this competition”
He started running to the exit of the room, going to the ice rink. And Akaashi smiled, because he knew they couldn’t lose, not if they’re together.
