Seong Gi-hun furrowed his brows as Jiyeong’s singing came to an end, he had no clue what to say nor believed this girl had the right house.
“So?” Jiyeong spoke up “What do you say?” she asked “Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?”
Gi-hun chuckled nervously “That was a wonderful performance but are you sure you have the right person?” he asked
”You are Seong Gi-hun, no?” she quirked a brow “If not I can leave but I’m pretty sure the nice lady who sells fish said you lived here so…”
“What the hell are you doing here?” a familiar voice saved Gi-hun the trouble of having to explain to Jiyeong that his only daughter isn’t her age “Ah Sae-byeok, what can I do for you?”
Sae-byeok handed a rolled up piece of paper to Gi-hun “Here, Cheol drew this for you during his class.” she turned to Jiyeong and sighed “Care to explain?”
“I am here to ask your father for your hand in marriage, duh.”
“You’re stupid.” Sae-byeok flicked the shorter girl’s forehead “Mister Seong is not my father and you’ve known me for two weeks, marriage is way out of the question.”
“Really?” Jiyeong wrapped her arms around Sae-byeok’s waist “Then does that mean we’re actually dating and you just want more time to think about commitment?”
Sae-byeok let out a sigh “No, it means I want you to quit bothering Mister Seong.”
“Oh, she’s no bother to…“ a warning glance from Sae-byeok brought Gi-hun to a stop.
Jiyeong giggled “Are you afraid he’ll say ‘yes’ Sae-byeok?”
Sae-byeok rolled her eyes “Oh please, even if he did say yes, he’s not the one you’re proposing to. You’re proposing to me and I say we’re far too young.”
“Alright, we’ll just stay as we are and remain girlfriends.” Jiyeong let up
“Yes!” Sae-byeok’s eyes widened when she realized what she just agreed to “Wait-“
“Too late.” Jiyeong gave her a kiss on the cheek and ran off “I’ll see you tomorrow dear.”
