You ask a lot of a body and mind that are still healing from being pushed to the limits. So it's not surprising that you can find it hard to distinguish intimate proximity from danger." "But being with you is the safest place I know." Amy protests weakly.
"Imagine what you would say if our situations were reversed, I was the one who went down to Vigil after multiple traumas?" Kirsten changes track suddenly.
"Oh, that would never happen. I would never be able to be on the other end of the telegraph relay." Amy looks horrified at the thought.
"Why, because only the brooding misanthropes have the right to play the hero? Take on the suffering? We will definitely be rewriting that script at some point ." Kirsten laughs while shoving her shoulder affectionately.
