    When Will decides to study cannibalism for his Criminal Justice 101 class he falls into a subject he doesn't expect to get so engrossed in: The Wendigo. He becomes engrossed in the Wendigo legends, lost in the darkness so much that he's actually seeing the creature in his daily life, and just as he feels he's lost Professor Crawford has a special guest speak in his class: Dr. Hannibal Lecter.

    Will has the courage to ask Dr. Lecter for help researching cannibals and soon becomes attached to the older man in more ways than one.

    But the Wendigo keeps calling, and Will is torn between his feelings for Hannibal and the dark warmth the creature provides.
