Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Sun, ocean, and the sky in between.

The camera keep capturing that view, moving very slowly, just in synch with the slow blowing of the wind. The man behind the camera tries hard to keep his hands still, to not shaking the recording, to perfectly capturing the atmosphere of the beach. He's been here all day long, enjoying his solitude and capturing the view in front of him changing from the moment the sun rises until now, shining brightly in the middle of the day.

This is for research, capturing the feel of him living around here, make this his playground. In fact, he will act it out soon, a cheerful passionate young man with personality as bright as the sun, living around the beach. Youthful. That's why he's here to capture the atmosphere.

So he do it diligently with his camera, still moving it slowly until it captures something other than the sky and ocean, someone. A girl. A gloomy-looking-girl, to be spesific, very opposite to her ocean blue mini dress that flowing excitingly with the wind. The camera stop moving, the eyes behind it blinking slowly again and again. Like the camera that now focusing on her, the eyes also do the same, bring him wondering about what make her look gloomy like that, just absent-mindedly eyeing the ocean in front of her.

The girl gulping down slowly, and it captured by the camera that just zooming in on her figure intentionally. Another gulp down, then she blink and take a deep sigh. Once, twice. Her head look down, another blinking, sad. The man feeling her sadness without reason, he press his lips together behind the mask he wearing.

A guy come into the frame, walking a little faster than he should, wearing all black from head to toe, giving her a jacket to wear. The girl wear it without thinking or looking at him, keeping her gloomy face. She flip her wavy hair from behind the jacket that wrap her body now, make it waving again along the flowing wind. They turn around then, walking out of the frame of his camera, so he stop the recording. For the first time, he look at the girl directly with his eyes, following her figure moving away from the beach. In one moment she turn her head to the side, to his side, where he's standing holding a camera right now. But it happens so fast that he couldn't make himself sure if the girl really see him. She already looking down her face again, walking further away to the parking lot, disappear between the cars that parked there.

"Why so sad...?" He mumbled alone, never expecting that the recording he took would be played over and over in his free time after this.
