Work Text:
A heavy yawn escaped Jiyeong’s mouth, she felt too tired to walk.
“Saebyeokie~” She called in a dazed voice, causing the latter to look over at her in confusion.
“What is it,” she asked, hearing the exhaustion in her voice worried her.
“I’m tired,” Jiyeong whined, a pout forming on her face.
“I can tell,” Saebyeok responded while looking away, ending it off with a sigh.
Jiyeong continued to pout, turning her head down, “how cold…” she muttered under her breath, not daring to say it loud enough for Saebyeok to hear her.
She paid no mind to the latter’s fatigue, instead, continuing with her novel.
“I’m going to bed…” Jiyeong said, her tone faltering as she dragged her feet against the white tiles.
Saebyeok stayed silent, souring Jiyeong’s mood, she brushed it off fairly quickly though, deciding that it was because of her novel. Was it that good of a book?
Her head continued to ache every step she took back to their shared room. She fell backward, trust fall style, onto the mattress, feeling an emotion of relief as soon as her head hit the pillow.
She closed her eyes, longing for the sweet release of sleep, but after a few minutes, she still remained entirely conscious.
Maybe it was the clothing she was wearing? Granted, she was still in a t-shirt and jeans, not exactly the most comfortable thing to wear to sleep.
Jiyeong groaned as she stood up again, eyes only half-opened. She was slouched over while walking over to the closet, twisting the knob and being met with many different clothes that all looked like blobs of colours in her eyes.
She grabbed the first pair of sleepwear she could find, putting it on in a lazy fashion.
Afterward, once she finally felt comfortable enough, she laid down on the bed once again, draping the blanket over her body, sinking into the softness.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Saebyeok approaching, which confused her greatly.
“Why are you here?” Jiyeong said in a tired voice, dragging on the last syllable.
“To accompany you as you fall asleep,” she said with a straight face.
“How nice of you,” she responded in a cheery attitude, a faint smile on her face.
Saebyeok didn’t think much of it, hugging Jiyeong as she fell asleep, “Your shirt’s on backward by the way.” She mentioned, long after she had already fallen asleep.
