Chapter Text

character aesthetics

draco malfoy

astoria greengrass

Notes:

hi! so i've always been interested in draco's life following the events of the harry potter series (without harry potter & the cursed child of course, imo harry potter & the cursed child is not canon because harry being a terrible father doesn't fit his overall character that i observed from the seven books & i don't believe ginny would sit right with a lot of the things he did.)

just from imagination astoria is two years younger than her older sister daphne (who is the same age as draco), astoria is a slytherin and though she was raised with the pureblood supremacy mindset her experiences at hogwarts pre deathly hallows and the perspective of someone who knows they will die young/the unfairness of reality she unlike draco did not have a traumatic experiences the humane/"right" mindset. because of her blood curse/malediction her parents send her and her sister daphne to beauxbatons for her 5th year (deathly hallows) to keep them safe and she finishes her schooling there. but at hogwarts draco and astoria had little interaction because of their age gap and because they ran different social circles; so they don't know each other. you might be wondering why astoria is a slytherin because my character interpretation of her she is very kind and smart and doesn't seem to fit the typical slytherin traits and that's because i don't think kindness and intelligence and being a slytherin are mutually exclusive traits; astoria fits into slytherin the same way she is attracted to draco, they are both very ambitious and cunning people but in astoria's case her self-ambition and cunning throughout her life has been for good and sometimes what some can call vanity and draco's character following the events of the seven books become similar to her, ambitious and cunning for good.

if it isn't clear astoria is 18 when she meets draco who is 20 (both legal adults) so it's a totally consensual relationship with an appropriate age gap.
