Summary
Something had changed in the course of these past few months, Gilgamesh realizes with growing bitterness. For some reason he couldn’t tell, his assortment of wives had become less and less enticing to his eyes; they were no longer what he hungered for at all. Whatever pleasures they could offer him, none of it would sate him, and it bothered him how such a feeling had become disturbingly frequent since her arrival.

After barely making it from her clockwork cage of neverending labyrinths, Hakuno finds her way to Uruk with the help of a Goddess who promises her salvation, and later on, into her son's bed. There are days Hakuno curses Ninsun for forcing her into this journey; for throwing her into another cage, into another pointless holy war and cursing her to love her son in exchange of freedom so that she may know what it means to burn.
