Rey glanced over her shoulder at her brother, and Ushar made a pained sound and grabbed the edge of the counter more tightly. Vicrul tugged and pulled at her until she moved, then guided her across the living room. He paused near the staircase and glanced over his shoulder as if making sure her brother hadn’t moved. When he looked back at her, his face was tense, and his fingers flexed where he held her.
“Listen to me very carefully, Lil Sis,” he said. “You are a newly presented Omega in a house full of Alphas, all of whom are on the verge of a reactionary rut. I need you to get your ass up the stairs right now. Lock yourself in Kylo’s room and do NOT open that door for anyone but Baz.”
