Feeling Replaced

Summary:

“Can’t you just leave me alone for fucking once?!” Tubbo practically yelled, his eyes suddenly fierce.

The words Tommy was planning to say suddenly left his mouth, and he was silent, his hands unclenching.

“…Fine,” he said, shakily, Ranboo hesitantly reaching out a hand, “Tommy…”

“No, really,”

He looked up, and smiled, but it didn’t come out right,

“it’s fine…”

or

Tommy and Tubbo have an argument, and poor Ranboo just wants them to be happy.

Notes:

This is over dramatic, so don’t expect this to be good.

I just wanted to post something on here since I was bored, so yeah…hope you like this anyways.

Work Text:

Where is he..? Tommy looked through the halls, wondering where his friend was.

“Tubbo! I was looking for you everywhere-!”

“What do you want this time, Tommy?” The brunette turned to him, a bored expression on his face.

“Oh- I was just wondering if we could hang out at my house today!” Tommy smiled, but Tubbo shook his head,

“Sorry, I was planning to hang out at Ranboo’s.” Although his tone seemed somewhat apologetic, his expression clearly wasn't. He gestured behind him with his eyes, and the blonde could see that Ranboo was behind him.

The Enderman-hybrid waved to him awkwardly.

“You can come over if yo-”

Ranboo started, yet was cut off by an elbowing in the ribs from Tubbo. Tommy could see his friend put on a warning expression, and his smile faltered.

“Well…maybe tomorrow-?” Tommy tried again, but Tubbo shook his head.

“No thanks,” he said, turning to leave.

Tommy didn’t know why he was being so ignorant.

“What is with you today, huh?”

“I’m gonna be busy, Tommy. C’mon, Ranboo.”

He nodded to the taller male, and Ranboo awkwardly nodded, shooting Tommy an apologetic look.

“You said…we were gonna hang out together?”

“You know I can have other friends, right?”

Tubbo was right in a sense, but Tommy didn’t see it just yet.

“I thought we were a duo..?”

“I need to branch out to others, too.”

Tubbo muttered quietly, pulling Ranboo away from Tommy, the two of them starting to walk off.

Tommy let out a breath, “Why do you hate me now-?”

With that, the blonde turned on his heel and walked quickly back to the entrance of the school. Ranboo started after him, but Tubbo shook his head.

“He’s…being over-dramatic. It’ll blow over,” Tubbo said, yet he seemed unsure, as he followed Ranboo’s gaze down the empty hall.

“it always does.”

“Hey, Tommy! How was school-?” Wilbur stopped himself mid-sentence, seeing the saddened look on his brother’s face. His smile faltered.

“…You okay? Where’s Tubbo? I thought he was coming over today-”

“He said he was busy.” Tommy half-lied, before walking past Wilbur, heading upstairs into his room.

Wilbur sighed, looking up at the stairway.

Did Tubbo do something? He thought to himself.

His phone buzzed suddenly, and he pulled it out, seeing a message from…Techno?

What does he need?

Tommy lay in bed, facing the ceiling. Thoughts were swirling in his head.

Maybe he was being over-dramatic. Tubbo was right; he was allowed to have other friends.

…Then why did it feel like a sudden slap in the face?
