   Summary

   Enjolras doesn’t date. He tried, a couple of times. With Grantaire first. A catastrophe of epic proportions that nearly destroyed their friendship. With the daughter of one of his mother’s friends then. A lapse of judgment that he still regrets to this day, even though everyone has long gotten over it, including Laura who got married last year and invited him to the wedding. She was lovely, yes, but something was missing in their short-lived, rather bland relationship. Something that makes his heart race like it does wherever Éponine is concerned.

   Enjolras doesn’t date because it feels wrong and a little unfair to pretend he’s emotionally available when he knows he’s not. He’d like to think he’s as honest as possible — except, ironically, when it comes to Éponine.

   Enjolras doesn’t date but it’s time to move on.
