   He felt a little more alive then, looking at Kiara, her big brown eyes watching him with something that looked like relief and excitement and sheer fucking joy.

   JJ wasn’t sure when Kiara had become his favourite person, but after spending weeks with her in the dark, hidden under the blankets of stars the night gave them, he was almost certain he was her favourite person too.
