Work Text:
The other patrons of the hallway found it undoubtedly annoying. But Katsuki, the man who was muttering so loudly in his apartment that one could hear it, was the man's fiance, so he found it endearing, and just slightly annoying.
"Is it too soon to plan? No no, all these magazines are saying I'm late! I should have been planning even before the proposal! I have no idea how I was supposed to even KNOW that he was going to propose ," Izuku mocked himself "but apparently these straight women who plan these must have some sixth sense for this... Okay, but what's the first step? Where do I-"
Bakugo chuckled as he jammed his apartment key into their door, he could hear his jittery fiancé through the damn door.
"Babe? I'm home," Katsuki announced as he made his way through the doorway and set his work supplies down on the floor.
“Hi!” Izuku called back as their fluffy Shiba Inu, Katsuki had affectionately named ‘Bastard’, greeted him happily at the door, all dog kisses and jumping.
“Wedding planning I see?”
Izuku blushed, shoving the binder to his chest, “No! What makes you think that?”
“Darling,” Katsuki chuckled, sitting down next to Izuku on the couch. “The whole hallway could hear you.”
Izuku groaned, hiding his face in his hands. “I’m sorry, I’m far too excited for this.”
Katsuki scoffed “The whole fucking point is for you to be happy we’re getting married .” Izuku flushed again at the word, he could hardly stand hearing it from Katsuki’s mouth without imploding.
“Still hard to hear that isn’t it?” Katsuki teased, shifting closer to him and whispering to Izuku.
He whined and pushed Katsuki away, “No no I need to do work! You can’t seduce me!”
“Sucks for you, when we’re married that’s all I’m going to be doing. You’ll never get anything done, I’m too sexy to ignore.”
Izuku blushed further but still ended up snorting laughing at his boyfriend, such a dork when you get to know him.
“Before you spend the rest of your life seducing me, do you want to talk about our wedding first?”
“I only proposed to you a week ago, nerd! You don’t need to plan this shit yet!” Katsuki grumbled waving his hands at the magazines and papers scattered across their coffee table.
“But I want our wedding to be really nice, Kacchan! I’ve been coming up with ideas for our wedding since I was five and-”
“I’m sorry-” Katsuki smirked, grabbing his boyfriend’s torso and pulling him closer, “what was that? Been planning our wedding since you were five?”
Izuku sputtered, melting in his arms “That’s not the p-point! I’m just very excited. I really want to start soon! We have to start booking things now if we want our wedding to be soon! Speaking of, when do you want our wedding to be?”
“Easy. Spring of next year gives us time to plan and get shit down.” He answered nonchalantly, burying his face in his boyfriend’s neck.
“Spring? You answered that quickly, why spring?”
Izuku could feel Katsuki’s ears grow warm against his neck. “The colors match your hair and eyes the best, makes you look like some dorky forest spirit.”
Izuku pouted, “Kacchan! That’s so beautiful!”
“Yeah well get used to more compliments like that, got it, stupid? I’m never gonna stop once you’re mine.”
“Now you’re the one who’s silly!” Izuku giggled, resting his head on top of Kacchan’s as he flipped through a magazine featuring spring weddings, “I’ve always been yours.”
