She spread her wings as they were falling. The pressure of the wind was high and she was gripping him. Sara didn’t know if she would be able to make it. She was struggling against the elements and Itto wasn’t really helping. She could have said he was a burden but something deep inside was almost screaming at her not to. She won’t die here. Even less with this idiot !
The tengu was pretty sure she had seen him smiling as she held on tight. She wasn’t talking so as him, that was a first. He's always so talkative. She didn't want to show she was surprised and maybe a little bit scared. He was firmly holding her, he didn’t seem afraid. Probably realised he was eager to spend some time with her, but not in that way ? Will he win if they collapse this fall? She was still wondering why he had done that.
It lasted probably a few minutes but it seemed to last longer. She felt probably better than she thought as if her hand was empty. The questions were gone So Itto lived like this for so long. Was it that bad ?
It was almost pleasant to put the guard down. She was just herself not who the people wanted her to be. That was probably what was the most irritating about him. He knew it from the beginning.
“I just wanted you to let it all go” he said in a strangely smooth voice. He probably felt she was getting tired, so he grabbed his club and threw it to a tree. They were perched on a branch. He was looking at her amazed and the weight didn’t seem to bother him.
“You almost killed me...Almost killed us !”She was upset and almost tried to push him but she remembered it was still a dangerous idea. They were still not safe.
“And I will do it again if I must !”He was smiling and almost laughing.
She sighed. You can’t open the eyes of this guy. They will recover from this situation, she had seen worse. She just had to think quickly and make good decisions.
“You think too much, little bird.” He came closer to her and realised she looked nervous. The more she looked concerned the more he was having fun with her.
"It's high time to play, don't you think?"
He came closer to her,he was so close that he could probably have kissed her.
“Enough!” with his help she came back to the tree. “Come !”
He was surprised their lips were touching and she didn’t even realise, she was probably to focus on surviving. He came next to her, the Oni stood quiet at first and then he attacked.
"What now ? I won't consider this as a victory if you're not fully here."
Sara was grumpy and almost barked “You’ll see if I’m really here!”
She was usually so quiet and serious it was fun to see her finally let it down.
“So that’s what you want, huh ?”
She took her bow and was aiming at him,she was focused. Her eyes were moving fast as the bird watched its prey.
The fight began and they looked determined.
Itto rushed towards Sara and strikes a blow. She parried it and turned around with blatant agility. He does not let himself be impressed and continues his powerful waltz with his enemy of always. The hits followed one another and were increasingly fast. No matter what was happening around them, they were ready to fight.
Sara grabbed her bow and fired a volley of arrows at the Oni. Her power was matched only by her agility.
The more they fought, the more he adapted. He would be a worthy opponent in every respect.
The tengu also scrutinized his movements. This created impacts on the ground and the weather was getting darker by the minute. The contrast with the lightning caused by his arrows was striking.
However a doubt came to her mind, a doubt even more important when they had been so close to each other and had almost died... Together this time.
"Saaa-raaa! I don't want an easy win !"He said it as a child but she didn't want to laugh. She didn't know what to think about it. It was annoying but probably also...No she will never pronounce that word to describe this man. He was too stupid to be depict as it.
She wanted to scream. She wanted to shout when she saw his body bleeding. They had to stop this madness. He was enjoying the fight. Always. He came every day with his idiot rematch thing.
“Why are you so eager for a rematch ? I thought you forgot the loss of…”
He dashed and put a finger on her lips.
“Seems I recovered Tengu.”
“Stupid Oni! What do you want from me in the end ?!” Her voice was probably tremulous.
He came closer and whispered on her neck.
“This is just what you created…” He was walking around her without breaking eye contact. He looked at her from top to bottom and smiled, showing his fangs.
Of course she knew she created monsters...People without will...Forgetting their but not knowing what to do with their future. When she got his vision, she made a promise, she will fulfill her mission no matter what. That was what she did but at what cost ?
The Oni was probably the one who knew her the most; he perfectly knew how she felt since that day. She didn't realise she was thinking of it and his words pulled her out of the nightmare.
“I will always sue you day and night.I’ll catch every breath of yours and every part of”
She stopped him, still gripping her bow.
Now she was clearly blushing, what on the earth was he doing ?! Hard to stay from marble listening to this. How could people perceive this ? It was a thing of being afraid because she looked cold but…
Her brain clearly ceased to work. Too many things at a time.
This Oni was definitely quite a piece.
