It's a Sunny Day in Faraway.
It was around...9:00 AM. Sunny and Kel are relaxing in the Living Room, watching TV. Kel had decided to bunk with Sunny, Basil, and Aubrey for some time, and today was his second day there. It was just him and Sunny today, as Basil and Aubrey were out job searching again in the off-chance her Tumblr job application didn't go through.
So now here the two of them were, watching [You decide the show, I'm thinking SPONGEBOB?] and simply enjoying each other's company.
Sunny, however, was a blushing mess.
A disaster, if you will.
Considering the fact that he hadn't hung out with Kel like this in a while, it felt...weird, being this close to him again.
Little did Sunny know that Kel was also embarrassed being so close to Sunny again.
This was the same person who helped him get out of the house after being stuck in there for four years and confront his fears and trauma.
If it wasn’t for Kel, Sunny would probably still be a hikikomori and never confess the truth to everyone.
Because of this, Sunny considers Kel a very special person in his life.

Well, it should've been obvious by now.
Sunny and Kel both have a massive crush on each other. It's been rather obvious to the both of them, yes, and they have admitted their feelings, yes, but they haven't really had any one on one time after that.
So of course it felt weird to be hanging out again!
Sunny decides he wants to say something.
"Um, Kel?"
"Yeah, Sunny?"
"Uh, I was wondering…have we ever discussed what you've done?"
Kel looks confused.
"What I've done?? Did I do something bad?"
Sunny shakes his head.
"No, not at all. I'm talking about you getting me outside."
"Ohhh! It was nothing, Sunny--"
"No it wasn't, Kel!"
Kel jumps at the sudden raise of Sunny's voice.
"It wasn't just NOTHING, Kel. You helped me get outside, face my fears, you helped me with my trauma after the incident. YOU and you only helped me confess the truth to you, Aubrey, and Hero."
Sunny starts to cry.
"I n-never thanked you for it...s-so let me say it n-now.
Thank you, Kel."
Kel smothers Sunny in a tight hug.
"You're welcome, Sunny."
He lets the hug go.
"I didn't know I helped you that much…I thought I was just being a good friend."
"You have no idea how much you helped Kel. It's because of you that I'm energetic and expressive now. Shy and Quiet me is gone, heheh. And it's all thanks to you."
Kel smiles at Sunny. He kisses him. Sunny smiles back, blushing.
"Sunny, to tell you the truth…"
Kel blushes and stutters.
"I-I maybe, might've, possibly, had a tiny crush on you when we were kids??
Idunnodon'task!"
Sunny's blush becomes redder.
"R-really?"
"I uh, don't know, how to explain it, but uh…
You were...always in my head, I guess. I...always thought your voice was, uh, um, cute."

"I honestly wished you talked more back then...you looked cute too. I uh, didn't want to say anything because I thought it was stupid…"
Sunny couldn't help but chuckle.
"Were there any hints I missed?" He asks Kel. The athletic boy thinks for a moment.
"...Did you ever notice that I always gave you a hug whenever I saw you?"
Sunny thinks back. He does remember Kel doing that.
"Ohhh, you DID do that. They were tight even back then, hehe!"
Kel blushes and chuckles.
"I also tended to hold your hand a lot...I couldn't begin to know why."
"That I do remember...you said it was to keep me safe."
Kel's blush grows a bit.
"Really? I-I don't remember that…"
"Yeah. You said you wanted to protect me from bad things. Aubrey was one of them." Sunny remarks, laughing. Kel chuckles as well. Sunny notices Kel's blush. He blushes himself.
"Wow...you really liked me, huh?"
"I did, well uh, d-do. I appreciate you, Sunny."
"I appreciate you too, Kel."
The two look at each other deeply.
"Kel…"
"Sunny…"
…
oh hey, a staring contest.
No, seriously, the two are locked in each other's eyes.
…
...I don't think they know what to do now.
"Um…"
Kel is hesitating.
Sunny takes Kel's face and kisses him. Kel eventually settles into the kiss and kisses back. The kiss lasts for...uh…
Hang on, lemme check the watch.
Uhhhh…
...15 seconds, new record.
[OKAY BACK TO BEING SERIOUS--]
After they break the kiss, Kel is left in awe. He was...not at all, expecting this today. He looks back at Sunny, red in the face. Sunny looks flustered too.
The atmosphere is rather warm and fluffy. Silence fills the Living Room. Kel ends up breaking the silence.
"Um, Sunny…
I love you."
"I love you too, Kel. I'm...sorry, if I made this awkward or uncomfortable."
"N-no!! It's fine! I-it was nice...thanks."
"D-don't mention it…"
The Living Room is rather silent.
…
"Did you uh…want to…do it again?" Kel asked.
Sunny looks at him, still a bit flustered.
"...I wouldn't be against it." He replied.
…
Sunny and Kel scoot closer to each other. They turn to look at each other again.
...
"Uh…" Before Sunny could say anything else, Kel kisses him. Sunny's eyes widen at the action of this. Was he daydreaming? Was Kel actually kissing him??
Kel stops kissing Sunny after a few more moments. He smiles at Sunny, a huge blush still on his face. He places another kiss on Sunny's forehead.
"K-Kel???" Sunny asks, flustered once again. Kel rubs Sunny's head.
"I love you, SportSun."
"...I love you too, Kelly."
…
The day goes by, Sunny and Kel still on their own. They're playing video games now. Occasionally one of them surprises the other with a quick kiss to throw the other off.
Surprisingly, it works.
"Kel, really?!"
Kel chuckles at Sunny.
"Listen, if you get surprise kissed, it's your fault for getting kissed in the first place." Sunny playfully punches Kel's arm.
"That's such a stupid metaphor!" Kel laughs again.
"Since when did my SportSun remind me of Aubrey?" He teases.
"Why you little…!" Sunny sighs, then laughs. Kel joins in on the laughter.
"Sunny, I could kiss you right now." Sunny smirks at Kel.
"Then why don't you?"
"I mean, I HAVE been kissing you all day...I might've ruined your face already, hehe."
Sunny cups Kel's face.
"Make an exception?" He asks. Kel pretends to ponder.
"Hmmm...maybe just this once."
Sunny and Kel scoot closer to each other. Their faces are mere inches away from each other. They get closer and closer, until…
B A N G !!
well until the front door suddenly barges open.
"SUNNY, WE'RE HOME!!" Aubrey yells as she and Basil walk into the house.
"We bought cookies--oh!"
The two walk into the scene. Sunny and Kel look embarrassed.
"Uh...is this a bad time?" Basil embarrassingly asks. Sunny and Kel slowly nod. Aubrey blushes in embarrassment.
"UH, SORRY FOR INTERRUPTING! WE'LL GO NOW."
Aubrey grabs Basil and runs into her room, shutting the door, leaving Kel and Sunny on their own again. Kel smirks at Sunny.
"Where were we?"
"Kissing, I think…?" Sunny says, a little embarrassed. Kel pats Sunny's head.
"You don't have to be embarrassed, Sun."
"I know, I know."
"To be fair, it was Aubrey. Knowing how she is, she'd just pretend to gag."
Sunny twiddles his fingers.
"I know. I'm just being silly. Sorry."
"It's fine."
Kel kisses Sunny again. Sunny kisses back.
Little did they know that Aubrey and Basil were watching this act…
...They supported the two whole-heartedly.
