This story begins with shouts going being heard across, where one boy appears to have done something to upset his sister. may we find out what happens next
'it's alright Mari, it's only a couple of notes. We can conquer this small mistake in the next hour' a girl thought while doing a fist bump
...How naive...
'Only three more hours until the recital, and YET HE- calm down Mari. Maybe we can loosen his bow a bit!'
...if only she knew...
-A beautiful rhythm can be heard throughout the house, only for that tune to shake out of control-
"AHHHHHHHH" the boy sunny seems to be screaming in agony "....my h-hand....." He says but can only be heard as a whisper, as his eyes start to water, as he looks at his sister with a panicked expression, he starts to run out of instinct.
"Sunny! Wait come back!" Mari says while running after sunny to soothe her baby brother. But the scene she is met with makes her heart skip a beat
.....the violin they had all worked hard on......broken...on.....the.....ground...
Mari starts to see red and is filled with frustration "SUNNY" she shouts and the boy is a deer in headlights, his eyes start to go dead
"Sunny we've been working on this for half a year, YET YOU BROKE YOUR DAMN VIOLIN," Sunny says nothing. Mari shouts with no sympathy in her voice
"IF YOU WANTED A FUCKING BREAK, WE COULD'VE HAD ONE," she says with a harsh tone "YET HERE YOU ARE NOT SAYING A DAMN WORD, WHAT DO THINK THIS IS, a joke?!?" Her tone softens, but her anger is still visible. Sunny still says nothing
"Goddamnit sunny, now we have to cancel the recital cause of you," she says with no emotion as she starts to walk upstairs "I have no brother," she says as he walks past him to their shared room.
sunny looks to his bedroom door. With a sad expression, he decides to go downstairs.
He starts to sniffle, as wipes his eyes and nose with paper towels from the kitchen. he makes his way to the treehouse in his backyard.
He struggles to climb as the blisters on his fingers start to hurt, he doesn't give in to the pain and succeeds in making it into the treehouse.
'....Mari....' The boy thought about her expression of anger "s-she would n-never be t-this angry" 'right...?' The boy starts to hug his knees and his vision is filled with tears and he finally lets it all out.
The playground was always a good place for Aubrey, she can do whatever when it came to fun, and she would hang out with her friends. She was bored even though the recital is in a couple of hours. She just doesn't seem to be having fun "maybe I should've gone with my dad" 'but getting a haircut is a little scary' "wait a minute, I can go see sunny! And cheer him on!" The girl seems to have reddened a bit "Sunny. Sunny..." She repeats oh how his name can be able to make her feel these kinds of emotions. She cups her cheeks to stop the blush from growing further "ok! Let's go!"
As she stands in front of the door she feels an uneasy atmosphere, she starts to feel a bit hesitant but continues to knock on the door
'Hmfp I've been waiting forever" she starts to think of ways of getting this door open
"maybe I can do a trick I saw on tv!" She starts to mimic an act caused by a pink starfish from a show that mentions a yellow sponge "open sesame!"
She says as she accidentally stumbles forward
"WAA Ahhh *umf* owwww that hurt..... WAIT A MINUTE"
the realization hits her 'I'm in the house!' She puts her hands in the air and starts to do a small cheer
"Wait why is the sliding door open..?" She says as she starts to walk into the backyard
'oh wait I almost forgot I left Mr.planting here I can get him and show sunny I'm capable of doing stuff on my own!'
She says as she imagines her nose going long 'anyways let's go' as she starts to climb the ladder, she starts to hear some small sniffles
"S-sunny!?!" Aubrey sees sunny crying and repeating a phrase but can't seem to catch on "Sunny..." The boy doesn't respond, he was usually quiet but for now, he keeps on saying his sister's name" Sunny!-" the boy flinches. Aubrey seems to have called his name a little too loud 'did something happen?' the girl thinks "Sunny...." She says in a soft tone while getting closer "Sunny please me what happened..." She starts caressing Sunny's hair

The boy finishes crying and wipes his tears and starts to dry his nose "see you a little better now, now tell me what happened?"
"....Mari..." The boy replies with a scared tone
"Mari? What did she do" the girl says with a worried tone
Sunny begins explaining what happened, the violin, his hands, Mari screaming and shouting at him, and the stress of the recital
"A-and that's wh-hen she says she has n-no bro-brother," sunny says while starting to develop tears in his eyes
"Ooh, sunny... it's alright don't worry I'm here for you" she starts hugging the boy. this causes the boy to break down and cry on her shoulders
'I don't like this sad face on sunny, nobody wants a sad sunny' "hey sunny" the boy seems to have finished crying. His head perked up
"....?...."
"How would you like it, If I protected you?...." Aubrey says to sunny with a careful tone"
"....protected..?" The boy replies with a confused tone
"Y-yeah" 'God I hope this works'
"H-how?" The boy replied yet again
"I can take you to my house, I'm sure my dad wouldn't mind, since; Mari; wants this to be perfect, she can sure as hell do it on her own!" She says the sister's name with an annoyed tone
"Do you promise...? The boy says with a desperate yet calm tone
Aubrey couldn't help but blush " Y-yeah you can come sleepover, and we can read, I'm sure your parents wouldn't mind" 'I doubt Mari would say sunny broke his violin, she may be an ass but she would at least take the blame for her little brother' Aubrey thinks with vile tone her face expression turns into a mad one
"A-Aubrey...?" Sunny says with a worried tone
"O-oh it's nothing," Aubrey replies a little embarrassed considering she was caught off guard "anyways let's get going," she says with her cheerful tone
"O-oh alright then!…" trying to match her enthusiasm
Aubrey begins to climb down, as she reaches the ground she's confused as sunny is still at the top
"Hurry up sunny come down!!!" She says with her hands and hole motion mimicking a microphone
"My hands will hurt!!!" Sunny mimics her hand motions
'Oh crap think Aubrey think' Aubrey begins pacing around
"!" She has an idea!
"Sunny I'll catch you!!!"
"!?!!" Sunny looks bewildered
"A-Are you sure!!" Sunny wants to get out of here before his parents come back
"Yeah! I promised to protect you didn't I!!!" Aubrey says while putting her hands up
"O-ok I'll trust you" '3......2.....1...GO!' Sunny thinks as he shouted, "GO!" And jumps
Aubrey begins to panic 'how come he ain't falling in slow motion!?!?!'
Sunny is halfway down Aubrey thought of an idea. She comes closer and she manages to catch sunny "gotcha" but as soon as they made contact they rolled back
They're now in a pinned position!!!!! *author nose bleeds*
Both of the kids seem to have grown red 'thank God Basil or Mari saw that!!!!' They both think in unison
"A-anyway let's get going!!" Aubrey says then break's the silence
"O-oh alrighty then," sunny says while still astonished
The pair begin walking to Aubrey's house
