It's already been 2 years, Baji had left him, his family and Toman forever. Lots of things had happened, he and Takemichi had done the last wish of Baji, saved Toman from Kisaki. But he still can't accept it, Baji had left a big gap inside his heart. It's too hurt to bear with this loneliness. Baji's not only his captain, Baji also a brother that he never had, a figure that he wanted to be. Even he got Takemichi as his partner right now, it's nothing the same as Baji. He lost one colour in his life. Called him an idiot for kept holding on the past, he didn't care at all! He had lost his father before he can remembered, so he didn't really felt the pain of losing someone. But when Baji passed away, for the first time, Chifuyu felt how painful it is, losing someone so dearly from his life.
Today, he will visit Baji as always since it's like his weekly activities, visiting Baji and telling him everything that happening in his life, sharing yakisoba with him and also cleaning his grave. But as usual, he will also post the letter to Kazutora for Baji sake since he knew, Kazutora is one of the person Baji treasures the most, even he didn't really like Kazutora before, but after he understand the reason for his twisted personality, he began to befriend with Kazutora and taking care of him for Baji's sake.
"Wait for me, Baji-san. I'm preparing peyoung yakisoba for us to split into two. Can't wait to tell you lots of things," without he realised it, his tears started to pour out from his beautiful greenish blue eyes. He will bring some flowers too for Baji since Baji's mom always gave him some flower to put it at her son's grave. Most of the time, his mom will gave white roses for Chifuyu to put on his grave, but today, it's 31st October, Baji Keisuke's 2nd death anniversary, his mother can't go there since she's still can't move on with the death of her only son, she gave a beautiful bouquet of dark crimson rose which symbolised sorrow.
Chifuyu will went there earlier than other former members of Toman so he'll has lots of time to spend with Baji, telling him lots of things. Chifuyu quite relieved, even after Mikey disband Toman, all of the members still spending time together. Emma and Draken finally became a couple right after a week Emma woke up from her 2 months of coma. Since that day, Draken never leave her side, it's quite funny since Draken never shown that kind of emotion but when it came to Emma, he shown lots of emotion.
When he arrived at the graveyard, he noticed there's a man on his early 20 under a shady tree near to one of the grave. Chifuyu quite curious, is that man still alive? He seem so pale and his hair seem quite damp. Did he stay there overnight?
Chifuyu went closer to that guy and carefully put all of his things aside while his hand gently shook that man's shoulder, trying to wake him up.
"Sir, are you okay? Why did you sleep here?" Chifuyu yelled in whispered tones. That man stirred up slightly.
"Odasaku, it's not fair.... Why did you go to heaven without me...?" That man seem like having a sorrowful dream, a small tears escape from his closed eyes and his lips formed a small frown.
"Sir! Hey, sir! Please wake up!" Chifuyu talked in louder voice that made that man immediately opened his dark brown eyes. His eyes tried to focus on his surrounding, a small depressed chuckle escaped from his lips.
"Another bad dream, huh? I'm sorry young boy for causing trouble for you, I'm Dazai Osamu," Dazai introducing himself with his signature charismatic smile. Chifuyu dumbstruck for a while, noticing how handsome this man in front of him.
"Nice to meet you, Dazai-san. I'm Matsuno Chifuyu. But just call me Chifuyu," Chifuyu introduced himself while keep wearing his polite smile.
"Ah, Chifuyu-kun, who's are you visiting so early in the morning?" Dazai asked in his warm tones.
"I'm visiting a friend of mine, a very best friend. He's like a brother for me, today's his 2nd death anniversary," Chifuyu answered with his melancholic tones, trying his best to hold up his tears. Suddenly, he felt a soft pat on his head, he spun his head towards Dazai, that older guy smiled at him fondly.
"Well, I'm visiting a friend of mine too, I've been here since last night actually. He's an interesting guy. He's so kind and his heart, it made of gold, right, Odasaku?" Dazai longingly staring at the tombstone in front of him, on that tombstone got a name of Oda Sakunosuke carved on it. Chifuyu following the direction of Dazai's eyes, he clearly can see the grave of Dazai's friend, Odasaku, around his grave, there's another 5 grave with the same family name with Odasaku. From the birth year carved and the death year, allfive of them still around 9 to 12 years old, so young.
"Is other 5 graves-" Chifuyu didn't complete his sentence, afraid that his assumption turned out to be true.
"Yes, the other 5 graves are belongs to Odasaku's adopted children. Those kids, they're too young to feel the cruel reality of this world. You know, Chifuyu-kun, his enemy bombed his children in a van in front of him just to make Odasaku fight against him." Dazai told Chifuyu while trying to keep smiling.
"W-WHAT?! It's so dumb! And so despicable! They just children! Is that guy insane?!" Chifuyu totally fumed with anger. A sad chuckle came out from Dazai's lips.
"It's the darkest side of human's life, Chifuyu-kun. The kindest person always be the one will meet with the death first."
There's a pregnant silence between them. Chifuyu agreed with Dazai, in this world, the kindest people always be the one that meet the death first.
"But, even how much I cried, watching he died in front of my eyes, in my arm, he still there smiling at me softly on his last breath," Dazai's story about his friend last breath, he can relate with it.
"It's hurt, right? Witnessing their warm body turned cold right in our arms in front of our own eyes? I still can feel that frightening moment. It's hurt." Chifuyu sobbed silently.
"Yeah, it's hurt. Reminding their last smile before they closing their eyes, I really hate it." Dazai carved one of his longing smile.
"Did you think right now Baji-san hanging out with Odasaku-san up there while we talking about them?" Chifuyu trying to stop thinking about those memories, so he changed the topic. Dazai laughed heartily.
"I'm sure, Odasaku will taking care of your friend like how he taking care of his kids."
Chifuyu laughed softly at that statement.
"Ne, Chifuyu-kun. Since your friend gone too early, the only things you can do is live your best life for him so once you meet him again, you can tell him how much you've achieve in your long life. So he will be jealous of you. That's the best revenge for making you hurt so much with his death," Dazai advising Chifuyu, made Chifuyu realised something.
"You're right! I need to live my best life for him! So Baji-san will regret for leaving too soon!"
"Yep, it's the best revenge. I guess I need to go now since I got a mission today, I still can't believe why Sacchou agreed with Mori-san to pair me with that short hatrack for today. I rather be with Kunikida-kun actually," Dazai rambling about his work made Chifuyu cackled with his nonsence nickname for his coworker. Then Chifuyu spotted a familiar boy in front of the graveyard's gate, Takemichi's here already.
"I guess I need to go too, I saw my partner already arrived here, thank you Dazai-san. Hope to see you again," Chifuyu smiled softly and offering Dazai a handshake. Dazai accepting his handshake.
"Sure, we will meet again later, Chifuyu-kun," Dazai smiled softly. Then both of them went away towards their own destination. Chifuyu didn't regret for being too curios previously, he had met such an interesting man to talk to and from now on, he will live his best life for Baji's sake.
