When looking at Impulse’s human form it’s easy to forget just how long he is as a merman. His tail makes up somewhere around eighty percent of his body. So his tail is really long. He’s an electric eel so that’s to be expected. As a human his legs are a little bit longer than they should be. Things that are not to noticeable
Dunking into the water behind his factory Impulse shifts. As he wiggles his way onto the bottom of the ocean he starts to swim, he’s been meaning to pick up some stuff from the Horse Head farm.
“Hello?”
Impulse startles at the sudden voice, “ oh hey Hypno.”
Hypno swims up to Impulse and waves, “ what brings you over here?”
Pointing towards the surface, Impulse blows a few bubbles, “One moment, gotta get some air.”
Hypno laughs slightly, “I keep forgetting about that.”
“A mer who can’t breathe underwater,” Impulse grins back, as an Electric eel he has to surface every so often for oxygen, they just aren’t built to take in what they need with their gills, “Shocking I know.”
“It’s not too uncommon,” Hypno muses, “ All whales and dolphins, but you're a fish.”
As both come to the surface Impulse shrugs, “Yeah, kinda got the short end of the stick on that. Can’t breathe underwater for forever especially in freshwater and I can’t see much in Merform,” Pausing he grins, “But then again I can electrocute anything in the water.”
“Oh I’ve been meaning to ask you,” Hypno grins, “Has Scar asked you to charge a creeper yet?”
“Ohh he hasn’t,” Impulse hums stretching his tail out, “Could I even charge a Creeper… I might just kill them.”
They hear a splash from off to the side. Ducking under the surface they listen as the boat rows forwards.
“Want to scare whoever's up there?” Hypno bares his teeth.
Nodding Impulse grins, “ Poke your dorsal above the surface, then I’ll shake the boat?”
“Deal,” Hypno flicks his tail and meanders up to the surface.
“Tango,” Zedaph shudders, “You ever feel like something’s watching you?”
Shaking his head Tango shrugs, “Not real- what was that?”
“What?”
“I saw a shark fin.”
Something hard slams into the bottom of the boat, and they scream.
The boat is flipped and they come face to face with Impulse.
