Chapter Text
Albedo’s pov:
This was bad…
I knew I shouldn’t have taken this route. Treasure hoarders aren’t the smartest of gangs but they sure do know how to surround someone.
“I swear I saw him run this way!!” They weren’t close to me. “WHERE’D HE RUN OFF TO?!”
They were trying real hard clearly. I mean I didn’t run that far from them. I’m glad that Sucrose decided to stay behind in the lab. I would never want to put her in danger as well. (Not that she couldn’t fight them off herself.)
I knew my cover would be blown soon enough but i just had to hope someone would help.
I was just coming down the mountain to pick up some supplies for Miss Lisa. She had asked me to pick up an old scroll that she had seen recently near the Adventure Guild’s campsite.
I guess this mess was my fault since I had decided to take this route knowing there was a treasure hoarder camp nearby.
“OVER THERE!! BEHIND THE ROCK!!”
….
shit…
I need to move. I need to get out of here, find somewhere safe. I need to get back to Mondstadt.
….To home.
“Freeze!”
“Dammit…”
I turned around to see a dark bluenette taking on each of the treasure hoarders, one by one.
“Y’know, you really do like getting into trouble bedo.” He took down one more.
“I could’ve handled it myself Captain Kaeya..” I rolled my eyes. No one said I wasn’t able to do this myself.
“Yeah yeah, I know but be careful next time!” He began to walk towards me with a devilish smirk.
“Well where are you heading during this time?”
He had finished up taking down the treasure hoarders so I guess he was trying to make small talk.
“I was supposed to be picking up an old scroll for Miss Lisa..but it seems I wasn’t able to get around to it..”
We were a few steps apart by now.
“Bedo, I’m serious. You need to be more careful. You could’ve gotten hurt if I wasn’t there.”
I have never seen Kaeya with a more serious face. It was a bit frightening.
“I know…I’m well aware..and I’ll be more careful..”
…
….
“Good..”
