Yet Dazai allowed him to do as he pleased. Dazai was different. He cared. He loved. And that's why Chuuya would melt under Dazai's touch, he would spill any secret, he would cry so many tears, and he would complain as much as he pleased. Chuuya did not follow rules when it came to Dazai. Dazai did not follow rules when it came to Chuuya either. That's how it worked and he didn't wish for a change. He liked the carefree lifestyle that he had around Dazai, he wouldn't replace it for the world.
Dazai placed the steaming cups of tea on the coffee table, taking back his spot on the couch. Chuuya grabbed a cup with shaky hands, ignoring the slight burn in his palms as he held it up to his lips and took a tentative sip. When cautious, the liquid did not burn as much. Dazai grabbed his own cup along with the tv remote as Chuuya slid closer to him, silently finding his spot tucked against his side.
Dazai gave him a smile before turning on the tv and as the crappy thing flickered to life he felt content for the first time in a while.
