Work Text:
The pale light of the white moon fell down on you and Vincent as you sat on a rooftop, enjoying the view of this crazy city by night that stretched out in front of you. Now and then, you turned your head, looking at Vincent whose skin got illuminated in a bright, magical white while his hair seemed to be blackened even more due to the contrast. His blood red eyes were staring into the oblivion sky - being far away with his own thoughts.
Once again, you couldn’t help yourself. You just had to look at him and his handsome features, partially covered by his long, feathery hair. You two dated for a while, you knew him even longer and still, you couldn’t get enough of him because in your eyes, there was no one this undeniable beautiful.
His sharp facial features, the elegant slope of his nose, his strong jawline, the curve of his lips - everything seemed to be made out of marble, the strongest you had ever seen and yet, ready to break at any second.
“You do it again. You’re staring at me. What is it this time?”, Vincent asked softly, even with a smirk. He had needed some time to get used to the fact how bluntly you admired him. You looked at him in a way that always made him feel special. Prominently, you displayed how much you loved him and he started to like it except on this night. Tonight, it bothered him.
He had brought you up there to enjoy the view together. Seeing stars and the moon wasn’t normal for people in the slums and because he knew how much you loved to see both gave him this idea for a special date but instead you were just focused on him. Again.
You gnawed on your lower lip, insecure about the question you had in mind, “Are you… Vincent, are you a vampire?”, you asked carefully. You knew ‘what’ he was and still…
“A vampire? What’s a vampire?”, he asked with a frown, finally looking at you, seeing your shy smile, even your cheeks were blushing.
“Oh… Uhmm… It’s a dangerous creature of the night. It has crimson red eyes after drinking human blood. They prefer to sleep in a coffin during the day, avoid people most of the time and they can fly when they change into a bat.”, you explained with a grin.
“Hmm…”, was the only response before Vincent looked thoughtful back at the moon, “That’s how you see me? As something dangerous?”
Suddenly, you realized what you had said and how it might have sounded for him, “No! No, of course, not! I’m so sorry!”, you hurried to apologize, “There’s also another side of them. They’re also said to be tempting with their beauty. They got described with snow white skin and with an ageless appearance. They also can use their voice to allure humans.”
Vincent chuckled low and waited a moment before he looked slowly at you through his lashes, “You know, YN, you read too much. Something like this doesn’t exist except in your books.”, he said and leant forward.
You craned your head, matching his darkening glance challengly, “Says the one who had slept in a coffin for what felt like hundred years.”
Quickly, Vincent’s eyes flickered down to your lips before he licked his own very slowly, “If you want I can drink your blood. Leaving two marks right there on your delicious neck.”, he murmured with the deep, raspy voice you loved so much.
You were to lean in to kiss him as you noticed what he had said, “Hey! I never mentioned the marks! So, you know what I was talking about all the time!”, you argued, stopping Vincent from coming closer with your hand on his chest, seeing his betraying smirk.
Once again, Vincent chuckled low, brushing your hand aside to lean you down on the blanket until he hovered above you, “Shh, just be quiet. Let the dangerous creature of the darkness do its magic. Let me allure you into a night you won’t forget.”, he whispered seductively while tracing down your jawline with his forefinger.
He brushed over your lips with his thumb before he kissed you longingly while he got already embraced and welcomed by your always so loving arms.
You were the only one allowed to make such kind of jokes. You were the only one he had opened up to because Vincent had fallen helplessly in love with you and your caring, loving behavior towards him and yet, from time to time, you needed some punishment like in this night as the moon and the stars were the only watchers of two lovers loving each other endlessly.
