Vincent Valentine was fifteen when he was assigned to work on the security of the scientific team. He hadn't even graduated as a Turk yet, and in his first mission he was captured and experimented upon. The teen lived through years of endless hell as a guinea pig for Hojo, Director of Research and Development department and his wife, Lucrecia Crescent, and by a very fortunate occurrence, Vincent was able to escape the laboratory with the help of his mentor and the current Director of the Turks, Veld Dragoon. While trying to keep himself away from ShinRa's nasty tentacles, he met Cid Highwind — a strange man who helped him like no other, but that also explored him like no other.
It will take more than a year until they meet again, and Vincent will learn that — sometimes — good people exist, and good and bad are just two different perspectives of life.

The New-New-Edge Autumn Festival was becoming a tradition in the ever restoring city. It was held in the month of May, where the cold wasn’t too cold yet, and the summer has long dampened its deadly rays. Of course, the WRO was the big organization behind its well, organization, but the real planners behind it were the heroes of AVALANCHE and their very impious way of dealing with problems.
This year, though, the women decided to shuffle things a little and define everyone’s job in the Festival.
That, of course, included Mr. Vincent ‘moody’ Valentine as the kissing maiden of the festival.
