Summary:

Back in school. Back in place, Back in school, Back in Chains, Back in school, back in my cage.

Dib is finding it hard to go back to Skool. Especially since after the Florpus last summer, Zim just disappeared. No doubt he's planning something more horrible than he did last time. That can mean the death of mankind and his family. He has to be Vigilant. Or..... maybe Zim is planning nothing...

So while Dib was dealing with his own enemy, Membrane was dealing with an enemy of his own. Membrane means well... Tries to be a better parent by attending the first parent-teacher night in person IN YEARS....perhaps ever..... then proceeds to ignore his children.... He tries. He's not doing this maliciously I swear lol.

Notes:

Dib was angry he didn’t see Zim in skool after all that, because he was for certain he would. He thought Zim would gloat and be obnoxious he was that close to conquering the Earth. Just like he usually does when he “almost wins”. Just because the Earth got sent back to normal and no one cares doesn’t mean he doesn’t have to not care with the rest of them. Zim had to be planning something huge... it’s the only explanation... and he’s going to get to the bottom of this.. and with his Dad’s support he’ll be able to expose Zim faster than Zim can even say “Eh”

There’s a lot of references to Membrane’s Guide series in this but it’s not necessary to read.

All you need to know is that Zim took to hiding in a toilet around the same time Dib stopped coming to Skool last year when his father had a traumatic shark attack and had a long road of recovery.

(Zim thought he was being ignored... hid in a toilet... and Dib didn’t notice and started to be a recluse until sometime last summer.. and that’s when he became a chair..hope that’s understandable.)
