    Even though they’re the only ones in his apartment, Hawks shuts the door behind him to give them both a sense of privacy. So Dabi knows it’s just them, just Hawks and him. It’s just Hawks who's going to see him like this, shaking where he’s sat up against the wall, his head in his hands as he trembles. Nothing will ever leave this room.

    Nobody’s going to know he asked for help and nobody’s going to know he asked for help from Hawks.

    or: dabi gets sick over the holidays. he crashes at hawks' place.

    I FORGOT A SUMMARY AHHHHH

    Someone targeting the Commission isn’t anything new, with them being such a large pillar in society that promotes Heroes; occasionally, they have to replace the windows or lawn if an attack is bad enough. Maybe hire a few staff members to replace lower-ranking employees who did nothing but show up to work that day. A building can be rebuilt, new people hired, and money had never been an issue to the HPSC with all of the public support it gets. But this isn’t that, it isn’t just a matter of replacing some glass or buying new trees- the Commission is currently more like an active demolition zone than a proud government building.

     

    This isn’t just a targeted attack, it's angry- furious even, a wrath proven right and twice as deadly for it. This attack is a message.

    Someone leaks information about the Commission and Keigo, then burns the Commission building down.

    Keigo had been inside when it happened and got injured.

    He saw the Heroes arresting the surviving Commission Agents, panicked and fled.

    Unknown to Keigo, the League is worried.

    Touya finds an injured and concussed Keigo, who subconsciously recognizes the Fire User as Touya, and brings the Bird to the League's base.

    Keigo sadly forgets Dabi is Touya once he's stable minded again.

    Hawks' approach is languid, his expression is easy and open. Even knowing it's fake, Dabi can't see the cracks in the façade. Horrifying, really.

    "Hey," Hawks greets as he enters the shadow of the alley. He then proceeds to crash against the brick wall at a glacial pace, face smooshed up against the brick and his shoulders and torso slumping to follow.

    In half surprise, half genuine glee, Dabi cackles. Hawks' arm twitches at his side like maybe he'd flip Dabi off if he had the strength.

    Dabi's still chuckling when he asks, "How ya feelin', hero?"

    "Like shit," Hawks grumbles into the wall.

    "You look it," Dabi assures him, grinning and pulling out his phone. He came all this way; Hawks can afford to wait a minute while Dabi gets a few pictures.

    Trying to get a ride home from a party, Hawks misdials and gets Dabi. Dabi, thinking it'll be fun to see his "favorite hero" drunk out of his mind, agrees to help Hawks get home.

    Things get a lot less fun when Dabi realizes Hawks isn't drunk.

    Keigo was drugged/date rape drugged/roofied and calls Dabi for help. Dabi helps him, buys him food, and brings him home. Dabi panics when the Bird cries. Keigo doesn't remember anything the next day.
