Work Text:
Albedo had been out late that night in his lab, having returned from Dragonspine only a week ago with a lot of things to document, a burden he didn't wish to put on Timaeus' shoulders. From that act, Timaeus was extremely grateful but it led to Albedo himself staying out long past sun down, long enough that Sucrose had pressed a kiss to his cheek and headed home.
Now he wandered back home, street lamps lighting his way as he walked, hands tucked into the pockets of his jacket in search for his keys in case Kaeya had locked the door on his arrival home. Albedo unlocked the door and stepped in, the heat hitting him welcoming and made him smile just a little while he got his boots off.
The house was fairly dark and quiet, apart from a few light sources scattered about as he found dinner that had been served earlier with a note from his lovers, who were probably already tucked up in bed together. He went to find them after he'd eaten, cracking the bedroom door to their room open and let the light flood in and light up the bed just a bit and onto Kaeya's bare back and Sucrose's arm draped over his waist
When the blonde opened the door, whispers stopped and heads turned to him, Kaeya moving to lay up on his elbow to see him with his eye patch off and instead his hair falling over his eye. Then Sucrose peeked over the cavalry Captain's shoulder, her ears flicking happily to see him.
"Welcome home, dear," Kaeya said and gave an inviting smile as Sucrose reached over him and turned the lamp on. The two of them understood he had a lot on his shoulders as chief alchemist, Sucrose more than Kaeya but that didn't matter, neither of them minded and would welcome him back home no matter what time he came back, they trusted him.
"Good evening," Albedo replied with a smile as he closed the door and got changed, leaving his clothes on a chair to deal with in the morning, soon climbing into bed behind Sucrose.
He heard her giggle quietly as he pressed a kiss to her bare shoulder, taking advantage of the fact she had a tank top on to show how much he loved her, like he did every time he could. "Hello, Albedo," she hummed quietly and leant back into his arms as he wrapped them around her.
Kaeya rolled over to turn the light off before turning back to the two before him, moving to pull the blanket up over the three of them and then wrapped his arms around them both, squishing Sucrose between them as she made a little noise.
"And where might my kiss be?" Kaeya asked as he leant over Sucrose's shoulder to be face to face with Albedo before he laughed and felt her nuzzle into his chest with something akin to a purr. His hair had fallen out of the way of his eye and showed the yellow of his iris, a soft glow coming from it. He brought his hand up to hold Sucrose's ear, gently stroking the fur on it with his thumb.
He was initially joking but when he felt a pair of hands on his cheeks and pull him gently into a kiss, one that lasted a few moments but filled with affection. Kaeya let his eyes flutter closed as he returned it but was soon let go, and he wanted it to never stop
"There you go, love," Albedo said with a smile Kaeya could just barely make out with his eyes adjusted to the dark "does that settle your jealousy?" He took a bit of amusement from teasing the other man but Kaeya nodded as he laid down fully, finally allowing Sucrose to nuzzle her head into the crook of his neck where she was warm and content, somewhere her anxiety wouldn't plague her.
"Sleep well, dearest," the cavalry Captain hummed as he kissed Sucrose's head, Albedo shifting closer to her and let himself relax, safe in Kaeya's arms with Sucrose squished between him. He'd found his purpose and a feeling he never new he could feel. He felt warm inside now, beside his partners as they dozed off, and he soon followed, tucked warmly into bed with them both. This was what he worked so hard to come home to and he'd do it forever
