Summary
The road to recovery is long, and rocky, and exhausting. Nobody will tell Fenris otherwise, and he doesn't need them to, doesn't need their pity because he can handle it alone.
Yet, Hawke doesn't give pity. He only gives healing and, for that, Fenris will eternally be grateful. So, perhaps he doesn't need to handle it all alone. Perhaps Hawke is a part of this road, only he's the smooth parts, the parts where there are handholds along the cliffsides that save him from falling to his death.
Hawke is his lifeline, and according to Hawke, Fenris is his life.
