Summary
Fake relationship AU starting at the end of the Lone Star 2x03 crossover episode:
When Buck realizes TK thinks he's hitting on him, Buck panics and says he has a boyfriend too.
He'd be more grateful for Eddie playing along if it didn't result in TK and Carlos staying with them for a quick trip to LA. He doesn't even mind pretending they're dating, but does Carlos have to be so good with kids? What if Buck stops being Christopher's favorite?
Eddie sees his golden retriever best friend trying to dislike Carlos, who seems to be a great guy, and can only assume the jealousy means Buck really is into TK. But obviously Carlos and TK are head over heals, and Eddie doesn't want to watch Buck break his own heart - nothing selfish about it, he has no opinion about who would keep that heart safe.
