“Well, a pipe in my kitchen broke and the place is kind of flooded. I called the lobby, who sent maintenance up here and they said a few other tenants were also having water trouble and they will fix it as soon as they can. I think they shut off water for the whole building for the night.” He sighs, clearly tired.
“What does this mean for you? Are you even able to stay at your place?” Worry is lacing your tone.
