Eddie had barely started his response when he heard a rush of footsteps from down the hall. How his best friend moved so fast was beyond him. He wouldn’t admit it, but Buck was right.
There’s no-one else in the world that he’d listen to the world’s most overplayed Christmas song every year for at midnight November 1st. He couldn’t help the small smile as Buck slipped into his room waving his phone and a pair of earbuds.
Eddie was handed one of the earbuds to place in his ear and watched as Buck did the same. Neither of them could keep a straight face as the music began to play. Eddie spoke in a whisper, so that he wouldn’t wake Chris.
“Buck, we might be listening to Mariah Carey, but this doesn’t count. Technically you didn’t get me to click the link.”
