Chapter Text
shyness like fresh snow
hiding years of ice, and harsh edges -
seeping into cracks
with the precision
of a wintry breeze.
the chill burns.
walls, perfectly built to fend off
fire with practised ease
once more, i douse my emotions.
curiosity, arrogance, humor
are of no useful purpose
when the mind is so resolute.
i am not the only one brave
enough to fight for what i want.
the carriage fades
into the distance
one passenger short.
fingers,
dipped into freshly-fallen snow
trying to understand the pain
of loneliness
of a thousand acres of whiteness
tiredly waiting
for the new buds of spring
