Chapter Text
Jimin always knew she wasn't like the other girls -no, not like that- That became very clear when she met her new roommate that would be her future reason to be alive. No, Jimin was never interested in boys and otherwise. That's why she got bullied in junior high, because not being the girl she was supposed to be is weird, right? So yes, Jimin is not like other girls. And she's proud to to announce to her former bullies that that is what got her into the Aespa.
Jimin can say that she was totally not interested in what her "Friends" were or still are interested in. What she is interested in-
No.
What she likes-
Nope.
What she is intrigued by...
Is the one and only: "Annyeonghaeseyo, Kim Minjeong ibnida!"
Ah, yes... That's what Jimin is whipped for. She would never admit, but... It is a fact. "A fact that no one shall know..." She whispered to herself while waiting in line for her food in the cafeteria of the SM building.
"What?" Minjeong whispered back, not having properly heard what Jimin said. As result of having Minjeong close behind her body, Jimin jumped back and squealed. She hit her back against Minjeong's breasts.
Minjeong stepped back with an oof and laughed. "Wow, what's wrong?" Jimin realized what happened and sighed in disappointment. "I'm sorry, forget what I- forget what I even-... Forget I even- nevermind," she gave up. Minjeong chuckled and dismissed what she was trying to say with a wave of her hand.
"If you say so..." And smiled.
Without realizing what the consequences would be, Jimin shamelessly stared at Minjeong's beautiful face and wondered why she looked like an angel and how pretty she was and why she was here when she deserved so much better and-
Those are the moments where Jimin realizes that she's really not interested in what her bullies are interested in. I mean, how could she when Minjeong was right in front of her face, smiling beautifully and talking to her even though Jimin has no idea what she's saying because Jimin was definitely not listening.
Why would she listen when she can just stare? That was until Minjeong waved in front of her face and shook her shoulders and pushed her forward. That shook Jimin out of her thoughts. "What? Why are you pushing me?" She asked frantically.
"I've been trying to get your attention for the past two minutes. The line is disappearing and people are waiting behind us!"
She added in a whispering tone: "And I don't think they're happy..."
Then Jimin snapped out of her -whatever trans she was in- and moved forward to get her food with Minjeong following to do the same. The whole walk to their table where their fellow friends where at, Jimin was to embarrassed to meet Minjeong's eyes. Of course her crush noticed and smirked while bending to her eyesight to get her attention.
"Don't think I didn't catch you staring at me. What was that?"
Jimin looked at her and chuckled. "Who was staring?" Minjeong only laughed and leaned closer to Jimin while whispering: "It was quite obvious you were staring at me. Am I that attractive?"
Jimin being Jimin, of course, denied all of it. "Pff, who would find you attractive?" Then stuttered when she realized that it sounded a little harsh. "S-surely not me..."
Minjeong's face expressions changed to a cold one and shrugged. "Sure..." Then she walked faster to her friends with Jimin slowing down behind. "Oh no, was I too harsh?" She mumbled.
When Jimin arrived, Minjeong was already busy chatting about hot dudes she has met in her dance classes. Those were also the moments Jimin realized once again that she definitely wasn't like the other girls. But she didn't care. Minjeong may would never see Jimin standing right In front of her, she was happy that she could stare at her without anyone noticing.
Jimin could cry for Minjeong, smile for her, laugh and get angry for her. Jimin could be alive for her, even though Minjeong probably wouldn't be anywhere with that.
Jimin was happy. Happy to know she could at least crush on Minjeong silently and peacefully.
And before she knew it, a whole year passed. With her debuting as the leader of 4th generation's rookie girlgroup Aespa! Jimin couldn't believe it was already a year ago that she could be with Minjeong for seven years!
It was a year ago that Jimin got to know she could be with together in a group with the most beautiful ever existing girl on earth. Amd tomorrow they were celebrating that.
They, referring to everyone outside Jimin, were celebrating the fact that Aespa was still alive after a year. But Jimin, she was just happy that Minjeong still didn't abandon her. Of course she was happy that Aeri and Yizhuo were in Aespa as well, but it didn't do much to her heart as with the fact that she could share a room with her crush!
It took her lots of prayers and hope and promising to never ever cuss again and it did work! Aeri, for some reason, so badly wanted to share a room with Yizhuo and no one had problems with that, so it was settled: Jimin and Minjeong shared a room and Aeri and Yizhuo shared a room together.
First, she was a little nervous and overthinking if Minjeong would ever want to switch rooms but after a year or sharing and she still hasn't made a complaint, Jimin was happier than ever.
All the soft smiles and looks Minjeong gave her when she entered their bedroom made Jimin visit heaven for the hundredth time already. Even in the night when she would read a bunch of hate comments and death threats to remind herself that she was not worth it, Minjeong would always bother and randomly jump in Jimin's bed to cuddle and sing for her and God, it made Jimin feel so loved and she really really really loved Minjeong. Jimin would lose her life for her.
She was happy. Jimin was happy. Even with all the hate comments and insecurities and overthinking, Jimin wasn't depressed. Because she knew Minjeong liked her for who she was. And Minjeong knew that Jimin would forever work hard and be the great Aespa leader she dreamed of. As long as Jimin had Minjeong, no hate comment would get to her head.
As long as Minjeong was happy with her.
"What are you whispering?" Speak of the devil.
"Nothing. I do that all the time, you should know..." Jimin whispered while she hugged Minjeong tighter, not having plans on letting go soon. Minjeong sighed and kissed Jimin's forehead. This indeed wasn't the first time Jimin accidentally whispered something that was supposed to stay in her head. Sometimes Minjeong catched it just in time, but most of the time she was to late to hear what was said. She couldn't help but grew curious on what was always going on in the leader's head.
"Just try to sleep. Tomorrow is big day..." Jimin eventually mumbled. "Can I hum the bridge just one more time?" Minjeong asked and Jimin nodded softly. So she hummed the bridge for the last time that night and just in ten seconds, Jimin fell asleep. Minjeong stared at her beautiful visuals and bragged to herself about how she got stuck in a visual group.
Suddenly, something flew randomly bye her thoughts. Since when did Jimin... Look so cute?
