Do What You Need To Do

When you must let everything go and surrender, allow yourself to do that. If you need a good cry? Then cry. If you're angry, allow yourself to be angry.

And when do you feel the need to dance? Then, dance the night away. Crying can be transforming. Feeling emotions is healing. Dancing refreshes the spirit.

Show yourself the grace to do whatever you need to do without judgment or inhibitions.

It was a typical Saturday evening in NY—tons of motor vehicles, flashing lights, and an earsplitting racket. The noise pollution genuinely rivaled the day-to-day pollution. Not to mention, anyone with sensitive ears tended to go slightly crazy from the around-the-clock disturbances.

Goliath and Elisa had done their most desirable at the Davids' residence to soundproof their residence. Given both Angela and Vixen possessed sensitive ears. They'd done an excellent job that the girls weren't holding their heads in anguish.

Neither of their parents was home at the moment. They'd gone to the NYPD Ball, which was for adults only. That left the fourteen and six-year-olds on their own tonight. They'd hoped their adopted older sister Toni could've spent the weekend. However, she remained occupied, cramming for her degree in psychological science. Therefore, she couldn't get away from school at the moment.

Currently, Angela is in the middle of evaluating her little sister's phonic sheets. Vixen had been an enthusiastic reader long before attending school. So it made sense, seeing how her father was Head of the Archives for Xanatos Enterprise. "You're doing considerably well, Vixen. Your reading level is unquestionably higher than that of a first-grader. You have the reading level of either a 5th or 6th-grader." she praised her adorable little sister.

"Thanks, Angela! I'm trying especially hard!" Vixen chirped while preening with happiness.

"That is quite evident, little sister," setting down the worksheets. Then, smiling, she proceeded to a nearby bookshelf to remove the latest novel they'd been reading. They're reading a book series called "The Land of Stories" by Chris Colfer. They're almost finished with the six-part series. However, they'd just finished book four, "Beyond the Kingdoms." Therefore, tonight, they're starting book five, " An Author's Odyssey."

Before Angela started reading, she did a little recap of the preceding book with her sister. "So, Vixen, can you remind me of the key points of the previous book?"

"The Masked Man, A.K.A. Lloyd Bailey, " the twins recently discovered, is their uncle. But unfortunately, they weren't knowledgeable of his existence beforehand. This is why Alex mistook Lloyd for her deceased father, John. Seeing how no one told them about his younger brother."

"Perfect, little sister. What else is essential to the plot?"

"Well, Lloyd assembled an army of the most despicable scoundrels of classical literature. Leaving the protagonists at a critical disadvantage to protect Earth and the Fairy Tale universe. This is why they intend to return to Earth to seek help from Conner's own story characters."

"You've paid excellent attention to the main characters' plot. So, what's going on with the secondary characters' storylines?"

"Well, Red has matured some thanks to the Lost Boys. They've encouraged her by inspiring her to become more assertive enough to attempt and rescue Froggy. But, unfortunately, he's been incarcerated within a magic mirror like the Evil Queen's lover was in the initial book. Since the Wishing Spell has already been used? They've no hope of getting him out.

Meanwhile, the Land of Stories's witches plan to invade the Earth when the worlds collide, coming up fast and opening a portal in NYC! Plus, Jack and Goldilocks are stressed out due to Goldilocks' pregnancy. Also, those irritating Book Huggers keep bugging people regarding the twins' whereabouts."

"It's nice you've been paying that close attention. Please tell me, what have you observed as character development?"

"Well, as I asserted earlier, Red Riding Hood is still incredibly egotistical. However, she gradually evolved into a healthier character throughout the series. Goldilocks is still kicking butt even when she's pregnant. However, the relationship has slightly improved between the two young women.

Especially now that Red sincerely loves Froggy and has given up on Jack. The twins have been through numerous individual trials. However, they've gained more self-confidence with each book and deepened their bond."

"I'm extremely impressed with how astute you are, Vixen. It's delightful to know you appreciate reading more than playing mindless video games or getting lost in social media drama."

"Reading is a far more beneficial pastime than sitting on your butt twiddling your thumbs or fueling unnecessary drama online."

"Very true, Vixen! Now, let's finally begin "An Author Odyssey!" as she opened the book and read the next adventure in the Land of Stories! The sisters quickly got lost in the enchanting novel. Their bond grew stronger as their imagination became more vivid as they curled up with such a great book. Indeed, it was a special moment between the two sisters!
