In an alternate universe where Alaric is more like the actor who plays him in ours and he decides to run for mayor after Malivore’s existence is revealed to the entire town of Mystic Falls...
Alaric has just started his campaign for mayor of Mystic Falls, “Elect Alaric Saltzman he will protect you from the monsters of Malivore and definitely won’t be a pedophile” most people agreed with his message but wondered about why he added the pedophile part.
Alaric was in his office at the Salvatore school getting ready and fixing his tie before he went to give an election speech in the park in mystic falls when he heard a little voice in his mind “Stay away from my daughter you Perverted Pedophile!” He felt like he remembered the voice but just couldn’t place whose it was. No matter, he had other things to worry about besides random voices in his head, he heard random voices in his head all the time!
About an hour later he was giving his speech in Mystic Falls trying to rally the masses of the town to elect him as their mayor “Humans of mystic falls! There is great evil in this town, and it is certainly not me. In the graveyard is a puddle of mud that monsters such as dragons, mummies, necromancers, gargoyles, and unicorns have been coming out of and attacking this town and the Salvatore school. If you elect me as your mayor I can protect this town and its people from Malivore and the monsters it releases, so vote Alaric Saltzman for mayor of Mystic Falls!”
The crowd went wild for his speech for some reason as they began yelling “ALARIC ALARIC ALARIC ALARIC”
A few weeks had passed and Alaric got the news that he had won the election for mayor of mystic falls, he was slightly worried because of the pattern of mayors before him dying in horrific ways like his predecessor Matt Donovan getting killed by a Unicorn skewering his heart because he did drugs. But he wouldn’t let that deter him from protecting mystic falls and definitely not being a pedophile!
Alaric went to Mystic Falls to give a speech on his news of being the new mayor when he heard the voice again ”STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER OR I’LL RIP OUT YOUR SPINE” Alaric still couldn’t place whose voice it was in his mind... he certainly felt he recognized it but just couldn’t figure out who’s it was, and he certainly felt he remembered that voice saying words similar to that before...
When he arrived in mystic falls he got, a sense that he was in danger, he decided to push through and make his speech then go home
When Alaric arrived he noticed that no one was here at the stage and when he walked onto the stage he heard that voice from in his mind before but this time it wasn’t in his head.
“I warned you to stay away from my daughter Alaric, perfect timing to Rip out your spine right when you become mayor, you can follow the pattern of all the previous mayors dying gruesomely on this very stage.” Said the great Klaus Mikaelson back from the dead.
“K-Klaus you're supposed to be dead! You and Elijah killed each other!”
“Determination to protect one’s daughter from a pedophile like you can drive a father to do a lot of difficult things. Especially resurrecting to rip out the spine of the one who harasses her”
“B-but Klaus I didn't do anything, my campaign message says it all!”
“But where did you randomly get the idea to say ‘I’m definitely not a pedophile’ in your campaign message”
“Well people hate pedophiles so I thought assuring the masses that I’m not one of them would help me get elected”
“Enough talk Alaric I know what you do and so do you. Come closer so I can tear out your spine!”
As Klaus said that Alaric ran to try and escape his painful fate, but he wasn’t a vampire anymore and Klaus was a thousand-year-old original vampire and the original hybrid so he was out-sped instantly trying to run to his car.
As Klaus shoved his hand into Alaric’s back and clutched his spine in hand then said “Any last words?”
“Yes I’m-“
As Alaric tried to say another word Klaus pulled his hand free clutching the base of Alaric’s spine then ripping it up and out using his extensive practice and finesse to sever it right at the base of the neck in a single tug before saying “Pedophiles and people who hurt my family don’t get last words, and you happen to be both.” Klaus then dropped the bloody spine with pieces of tendons, muscles, and ribs sticking off of it and walked away as Alaric swiftly bled out. He had accomplished his mission so now he had to return to the afterlife.
