Chapter 1: Snowy Cuddles

Chapter Text

As heavy snow fell from the skies and coated the sidewalks, Hitch paced around the front of his house, concerned, "Come on Sprout, where are you?"

Eventually, His gaze wandered further down the sidewalks, where finally he saw Sprout, shivering with his arms wrapped around his body.

"Sprout! Where's your coat?" Hitch asked, blotting over to him, "It's freezing out here!"

"Yeah, I know..." Sprout said, "I lost my coat on the train and didn't want to keep you waiting."

"Oh, Sprout," Hitch sigh as he grabbed Sprout's forearm, "Come on, let's get inside before start to get sick."

"Alright," Sprout followed him inside, the house was small but cozy, with a couch in front a fireplace that had a tv overhead, and a fridge, the kitchen was right in front of them.

"Take a seat, I'll get you some hot chocolate," Hitch said, ushering Sprout over to the couch.

"That sounds good." Sprout shivered, his teeth chattering as he sat down on the couch.

Hitch gave Sprout a reassuring smile and then went to a kitchen where he placed a pot on the stove, he quickly grabbed a mug and filled it with hot chocolate, then grabbed some blankets and return to Sprout, giving him the mug.

"Here, it's warm and it'll hopefully keep you from getting sick."

"Thanks..." Sprout gratefully took the cup from Hitch, "Gah, I feel like a total idiot for losing my coat."

"Eh, it's not your fault," Hitch sat next to him, wrapping the blankets around him, "But next time, try to look for it, I don't want you freezing to death," he advised, scooting closer to Sprout, "You got to keep yourself safe."

"I know, I know," Sprout sigh, "it's just," he paused, resting his head on Hitch's chest, "..Nevermind it's dumb."

"Come on," Hitch held him close, gently caressing Sprout's back, "You can tell me."

"Ugh, it's completely stupid," Sprout groaned, taking a sip of his hot chocolate, "I thought you'll hate me if I showed up late."

"Why would you think that?" Hitch asked, raising his eyebrows in concern.

"Because-" Sprout took another sip of his hot chocolate, "My brain is stupid, it tells me that I'm not good enough for you, that I'm going to disappoint you."

"You're not," Hitch said firmly, kissing Sprout's forehead, "Don't let the past define you, I love you, alright?"

"You are so sappy," Sprout chuckled, "But thanks," he paused, his cheeks turning pink, "And I love you too," he kissed Hitch on the mouth, who smiled, gently snuggle Sprout on the cheek, and kissed him back.

"Now," Hitch reached over and grabbed the remote, "Wanna watch a Christmas movie?"

"Yeah sure," Sprout nodded, finishing his hot chocolate.

"I'll put one on," Hitch winked at Sprout, using the remote to turn on the tv, he then change the channel to a streaming service called Hoofflix, selecting the movie 'Wuppet's Christmas Carol.'

With that, the pair, lay back watching the movie play on the tv screen as the fire below warmed the om, and snowflakes gently fell on the roof.

"Is this what perfection feels like?" Sprout muttered his eyes growing heavy.

"Yeah, I think," Hitch said sleepily, closing his eyes.

"I want to stay like this forever." Sprout muttered, falling fast asleep.

"Me too." Hitch yawned, giving Sprout one last kiss before drifting asleep himself.

Chapter 2: Sky to the recuse

Summary:

Hitch is running late for a double date, luckily Sky can help

Notes:

This one shot is a less shippy but I really wanted to write Sky in one of these lol.

Chapter Text

Hitch sprinted frantically around his house, gathering his nicest clothes and quickly combing and cleaning his mane when the phone rang.

"Hitch, can you come over?" Pipp asked when he picked up.

"Can't I'm in a hurry," Hitch muttered into the phone while finishing his manedo, "I'm going on a double date!"

"Ooh, how exciting," Pipp exclaimed, "Who are you going with? Besides my bestie?"

"Izzy and Sunny," Hitch replied dashing to the front door, "But, look I need to go and catch the trolley, I overslept an-"

"You overslept!" Pipp yelled, "No, no, this will not do, where is your date?"

"At the pizza place-" Hitch slamming open the door, quickly rushing out onto the road, "Look I-"

"-Hold on, I'm going to text Sky," Pipp said, "He's in maritime bay, he could pick you up-"

"What-!" Hitch blot towards trolley, "No don't call Sky-"

"-Hitch, calm down, I can handle this, Pipp said, "Because there is no way you can make to the pizza place in the nick of time!"

"Pipp-" Hitch sigh, running as fast as hs hooves could carry, "I swear if Sunny put you-"

She hanged up...

Hitch's ear's dropped, and as he reached the trolley he spotted a certain green Pegasus soaring overhead, "Sky..." he grumbled, watching the Pegasus land in front of him with a a smile on his face.

"Hey, Sheriff," Skyflower flips on his hoodie, "Look, I know we got off on the wrong hoof-"

"You threw a ball in my special pony's face-" Hitch deadpanned.

"Well, to be fair, that was a accident," Skyflower gulped, "But I'm here to make peace, that days of making you jealous are long behind us," he extends his arm out, "I'm going to help you get to your date."

Hitch rise a hoof to brow, slowly shaking his head as he glances at the slow-moving trolley then back at Sky who flaps his wing happily, "...How fast are you?"

"Very fast when I want to be," Skyflower answered trotting closer to Hitch, "I can get you there just on time," he held his arms out and waited, "Come on, don't wanna be late, my dude!"

"Fine," Hitch sigh, wrapping his arms around Skyflower's "Just don't drop me-"

"Got it," Skyflower nodded, holding on to Hitch tight as he began to flap his wings harder, "Now, you're gonna have to hold on, it's gonna be a rough ride!"

Hitch did so holding on tight as Skyflower pulled him up into the sky, the wind whipping through their fur, soon the land was all gone below them, the horizon was an endless blue lined with puffy white clouds.

"Woah-" Hitch breathed, "This is amazing-"

"Yeah it is," Sky smiled, feeling the chilly air run down his mane, but then he froawned, "I wonder why Pipp lied about it though."

"Huh?" Hitch rise his eyebrow, "Oh right- the whole 'only royals can fly thing' I got it-"

"Yeah," Sky sigh, " When I first meet her, I thought she was the coolset for being one of the few that can fly," he took a deep breath, "..Not to say she isn't cool, she's one of my closest friend, I just wonder why she wasn't truthful with me.."

"Well-" Hitch lowers his head, staring down at the clouds below him, "Sometimes the ponies you care the most about, tend to do a lot of dumb things-" he chuckled a bit, "I would know, uh, my lpecial pony almost started a war...and Sunny, I can't even count the amount of places she got banned from-"

"But they meant well, didn't they?" Skyflower pointed out, "Sprout wanted to protect the town and Sunny wanted to unite our kinds, and Pipp- I don't know what she was thinking, allowing that lie to live on-"

"Maybe she was scared," Hitch suggested, "I know I was-"

"What are you talking about, Sheriff?" Sky asked, cocking his head.

"I almost let Sunny be alone because I was afraid," Hitch explained, "afraid of change, and of the idea that the world outside our town can be dangerous...and while she was doing the right thing, I tried to stop her," he winces, "and while doing so, I allowed Sprout to descend into a power-hungry crazed-"

"Oh, that's rough buddy—" Skyflower blinked blankly.

"It's just-" Hitch continued, "I feel like none of that would have happened If I just did something-"

"Like what?"

"I don't know-" Hitch confessed, Maybe If I have focused on being a good friend instead of just doing my job, then I wouldn't be blaming myself for all of this-"

"Eh, well There's nothing you can do now, dude," Skyflower shrugged, "the past is the past and you can't change it" he exhaled, "Besides, it all worked out in the end, right?"

"I guess so-" Hitch sighs, "..Thanks for the talk Sky,"

Skyflower smiled, "It's the least I could do, buddy" he looks down, "And look, we're are here-"

"Oh..Good!" Hitch nodded, feeling his stomach drop as Sky flew him down to the pizza place where Izzy, Sunny and Sprout were waiting for them.

"Hitch!" Sprout exclaimed, hugging him the moment his hooves reached the ground, "...And Sky?" he pulled back, shooting a confused glance at Skyflower.

"Oh uh-" Hitch chukuled awkwardly, "The trolley was a bit too slow for my liking-

"That doesn't matter!" Izzy chimed in, grabbing both Sprout and Hitch by the forearms, "It's time for our double date!"

"That right," Sunny added, "But uh, thanks for getting Hitch here Sky, I know you two don't see eye to eye but, I hope this can help you two become friends-"

"No problem, and Hitch and I talk for a bit and I think we found some common ground," Sky grinned soft at Hitch who returned the smile, "But anyway, I'll see you lovebirds later, I got to play that new DLC that dropped."

With that, Skyflower shot back into the sky, leaving the loving couples to continue their date peacefully, forearm in forearm.

Chapter Text

By day Hitch Trailblazer was the local billionaire of Maritime bay, but when nights falls, he's the masked crime-fighter known as the Stallion-do-well, who helps the poor and downtrodden of Maritime Bay take down the rich and powerful criminals who prey on them, and one of these criminals was his archenemy, the evil madpony; The Quipster.

And tonight, Hitch was determined to finally take him to jail.

As he trots over to his supercomputer he turned to his faithful companion, Rollerscout aka Sunny Starscout, "Tonight we will finally bring the Quipster to justice!"

"I don't know Stallion, you have been fighting this guy for years now," remarked Rollerscout, "And honestly by now it's more of a game than anything else-"

"Don't tell me that Rollerscout, I'm the master of games, and there's no game that I can't defeat, plus in our last battle, I sneak in a tracker in his pocket, " Stallion smirked, holding his chest high as he faces his supercomputer, "Computer locate the Quipster."

"Yes sir," the computer beeped, showing an image of a lone street by the beach, "He's going towards the beach, sir-"

"Good, let's go get him!" examined Stallion.

Rollerscout sighed, but nodded, an excited grin slowly spreading on her face "Okay, let's kick some Quipster butt!"

"That's the spirit!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The moment Stallion and Rollerscout stepped onto the beach, they saw Quipster, immediately the Stallion raced towards him, but stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed the Quipster was limping, his leg a bloody mess.

"Quipster?" Stallion whispered, his eye-widening as his archenemy fell to the ground, quickly he knelt next to him, wrapping his arm under his forearm, "Who did this to do?" he asked helping him back to his hooves.

"Why do you care-" Quipster said weakly, but with determination, Stallion held him up, pulling him close.

"You may be a criminal, but you shouldn't harm this badly," he said, taking off his cape and wrapping it around Quipster's leg, "Now tell me who did this to you," he commanded, but Quipster only shook his head, "Tell me," he persisted, "Who done this to you?

Quipster was about to say something, but it caught in his throat and he coughed blood.

"Oh goodness-" Stallion gasped, shooting his eyes back to Rollerscout who stare wide-eyed, " Rollerscout Get the Stallion-mobile," he yelled, "Quipster needs emergency medical attention!"

"Huh, oh right, Got it!" Rollerscout nodded, dashing off.

With Rollerscout gone, Stallion's eyes locked on Quipster's, his heart aching for his injured archenemy, "Please-" he whispered, stroking Quipster's hair, "I just want to help you-"

Quipster sighed, "My robot blew up, and it messed up my leg," he paused, looking at Stallion with worried eyes, "We should do this in private, can't let the public know about this- he vaguely gestures at himself and Stallion."

"I see, right," Stallion takes a deep breath, allowing Quipster to lean on him for support, "I'm going to need to knock out for a bit, I can't let you know where my base is at-"

"You're taking me to your base?" Quipster asked.

"Yup-" Stallion nodded, taking out a spray can and spritzing it on Quipster, knocking him out, and just in time as Sunny pulled up with Stallion-mobile, with a heavy sigh, he dragged Quipster into the Stallion-mobile and order Sunny to make haste to Stallion-cave.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Quipster woke up the first thing he noticed was that his leg was properly wrapped with bandages, and he was laying on a comfy bed, he sat up and winced, clasping his hoof against the side of his leg.

The next thing he noticed was Stallion in front of him, with his mask lifted enough to show his mouth, however, the rest of his face reminded hidden behind the mask "Relax " he said softly," It's all right-"

Quipster takes a deep breath, "So this is your secret hideout?"

"Yup-" Stallion replied sitting next to him, "And the moment your leg heals, I'll take to jail."

"Oh come on, "Quipster threw his head back on the pillow, " Is didn't even do anything wrong today!"

"That doesn't excuse all the other crimes you did in the past," Stallion said firmly.

"0h come on," Quipster flashed puppy eyes at him, "Please, you know I'm just taking mommy's orders!"

"Puppy eyes won't help you this time," Stallion leaned back on the bed, " No matter how cute you get I'm still going to take you to prison."

"Even if I give you a little kiss?" Quipster kissed Stallion on the cheek.

"Nope," Stallion chuckled kissing him back, "But I'll gladly take it."

Quipster groaned, "You're so annoying but at least you're hot and sort of nice ."

"I know," Stallion said smugly, snuggling up to him, "But hey, maybe if you give up crime we can date for real without fear of the "

Quipster chuckled, "In your dreams," he kissed Stallion again, this time on the mouth, "Now if you mind, I'll wait for my bestie to save me."

"Pipsqueak?" Stallion asked.

"Yep," Quipster nodded, resting his head on Quipster's chest, "She'll get me out of here in no time." he yawned, closing his eyes.

"Yeah right," Stallion chuckled, stroking Quipster's hair lovingly, "My hideout is-" he yawned, his eyes getting heavy.

That's weird he always didn't get tired during the night-

But then he noticed purple smoke slowly surrounding the bed, and his heart skipped a beat as out of the smoke come Pipsqueak holding a perfume can and wearing a gas mask.

"How," Stallion muttered, "How did you find my hideout?"

"A good criminal near reveals her secrets, "Pipsqueak giggled, spraying perfume on Stallion, " Now go to sleep."

Stallion tried to fight against his heavy eyes, yet it was no use as soon found himself drifting off into a deep sleep.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Stallion awoke, all he found was a note on a foreleg, naturally, he picked up.

"Better luck next time, love the iconic duo; Quipster and Pipsqueak," he read the note out loud, his cheeks turning a bright red while doing so.

"Gah," he tossed the note into a trashcan before hopping off the bed, hastily he made his way to Sunny's room, slamming the door open and pulling down his mask, "He's gone!"

"Already? Sunny gasped, "Wait does that mean-"

Stallion nodded, "He knows where my hideout is but don't worry, I got another plan that will put him in jail for sure!"

"And he won't disappear like every other time?" Sunny teased.

Stallion's face flashes red, as he turned away from his sidekick "Yep! Totally, let's do this."

"Alright, here we go again!"

Chapter 4

Summary:

Hitch buys Sprout a gift.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Hitch hate to say it, but Sprout was the better gift-giver of the two of them.

Ever since they started dating, Sprout went out of his way to get him the coolest gifts, first the headphones, then the new laptop, and now he took him to a concert for their dateaversary, It made his gifts appear pitiful in comparison, and the last thing he wants Sprout to think is that he didn't care enough to buy a huge gift.

So he hid his original gift  inside his desk and set out to locate a better present for Sprout, one that would make him feel extra special.

He trots through the many small stores, malls, and even the crowded marketplace, and after several hours of searching, he found a small video game store, recalling how Sprout has been playing a lot of videogames with Sky and Pipp, he went in and blot over to the clerk.

"What is the best video game system here?" he asked.

"It depends on what type of gamer you are, Sheriff Hitch," the clerk replied, " If you like to play shooters and strategy games, then your console of choice would be the HoofBOX One, if you like RPG's and adventure games like me, then you should get the Mareswitch."

Hitch blinked, he had no clue what the clerk was talking about, "Uh, which one of those can play the most games?"

"The newest SunStation but it'll co you an arm and leg." explained the clerk.

"Is that so?"

"Yes, and the HoofBOX One is more cost-effective, but the SunStation is the one that plays the most games."

Hitch sighed, he knew this was going to cost a lot more than he had expected, "Well, how much for the SunStation?" he asked the clerk.

" There's a sell, so It's $80.00," he replied.

"Well, he did pay a lot for that concert, so, I should do the same," Hitch reasoned, "I'll take it," he handed him the proper amount of money.

"Okay," the clerk nodded, putting the money in a cash register, "I'll go get it."

Hitch sighed as he watched the clerk runoff.

It only took a few minutes for the clerk to return, "Here it is," he handed him the SunStation, "So who's the lucky pony?"

"Huh?" Hitch arch his brows as he took the SunStation.

"You said he paid a lot for some concert," the clerk pointed out, "And now you're doing the same, meaning this pony must be pretty special eh?"

"Oh yeah-" Hitch blushed, "Today is our dateaversary and wanted to get him something big."

"What a lucky stallion," remarked the clerk, "I mean you are ranked one of the hottest ponies on hotstallions.com."

"Wait, what-" Hitch blinked.

"Look-" The clerk took out his phone and tapped an app that shows a list of pictures of various stallions ranked from most hot to least hot.

"Oh my goodness-" Hitch's ears turned red, "Wait, who posted my pictures on hotstallions.com!"

"I don't know sheriff, " The clerk shrugged, "It's the internet, it could be anypony"

"Well, I'll find who did it-" Hitch paused looking down at the SunStation, "After my dateaversary,-"

"Good luck."

"Thank you," Hitch left the gaming store and immediately went to Sprout's house, knocking on the door, "It's me Sprout-"

"Hitch!" Sprout said opening the door, gasping as he lays eyes on the gaming system, "Dude- you got me the new Station!" he carefully took it from Hitch's hooves, "Once again you are the best coltfriend in the world!"

"Your very welcome," Hitch smiled proudly, "And yeah, I try my best to be," he trots into the house with Sprout, closing the door behind him.

"So- what do you wanna do for the rest of our date?" asked Sprout going over to a couch and sitting down, placing the Suntation aside on a table, "I mean personally, I want to nuzzle, cuddle, and kiss."

"Let's do that then," Hitch nodded, sitting next to Sprout and wrapping his arms around him, planting a kiss on his forehead.

Sprout smiled at this and leaned into him, kissing his cheek softly, "Do you like that?

"Yup," Hitch replied, his tail swaying slightly as he nuzzled into his neck.

Sprout pulled back a smug smile on his face, "You know, my mom isn't here anymore we cou-"

He was cut off by the sound of Phyllis' voice.

"What are you talking about Sprout, I'm right here," she said walking in, her eyes locking on Hitch's "Oh Hi Hitch!"

"Mom!" Sprout yelled, his cheek flushing with embarrassment, "I thought you moved out!

"

"Oh I did dear but I forgot a few things," Phyllis said letting about a small chuckle, "Also Hitch, I hope you don't mind but I upload some of those pictures of yours to that new fancy website-"

"You What-" Hitch blinked.

"Upload your pictures?"

Hitch wanted to scream, yet he reminded calmly as he stood up and face Phyllis, "You need to leave."

"But-"

" I'll collect any items you may need, but need to leave " Hitch pointed towards the door, "Now."

Phyllis lowers her head and slowly returns the way she came.

Once she was gone, Hitch sat by Sprout who shot him a confused look.

"What was that about?" He asked.

"I don't what to talk about it."

Yes that is a snapcude reference from that Sonic dub.

Chapter 5: Sick Day bouns Sparky

Summary:

A suggestion from one of my wonderful commenters:
Potato! Who wanted to see Hitch taking care of Sprout while he's sick hence the title, I also threw Sparky in for some extra flavor.

Notes:

Hitch: We have a kid now

Sprout sick: What-

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Sprout didn't know what it was, maybe it was the seafood or that time he ate a bug when he was little but he felt sick, he had for a while, mostly staying at home even for the festival, but this had reached its peak, he had to call off the date.

So naturally, he facepalmed into his bed, groaning as he took out his phone and shot Hitch a text.

"Can't go on date, feels like I'm about to explode." He sent the text and immediately got a reply.

"That's a shame, I wanted you to meet Sparky, are you at home? I can bring you some soup and a wet towel."

Who was Sparky?

Eh, oh well, Sprout was too sick to really care, plus the idea of Hitch taking care of him was very nice, not as nice as a date but you gotta take what you get.

"Yeah, hurry over here before I die." He texts back.

"On it."

With that, Sprout switched between the messaging app to WingTok (tiktok) and began to watch the endless line of videos.

--------------------------------------

"No Sparky- you can't go In, go home-"

Sprout's head popped up as heard the voice of Hitch, from outside of his doorway, and as he turn to face it-

Zoooom!

A baby dragon landed in the middle of his bed.

Sprout didn't even know how to react, he just went "Um?"

"Sorry Sprout," Hitch quickly rush in, snatching up the baby dragon, "This is Sparky- junior sheriff -"

"You adopted a dragon-" Sprout raises his brows, unsure how to feel about this, "Dude, how are you going to take care of them, the only thing we have are stories of them."

"Most of which did turn out to be true-" Hitch reminded, as he took out a towel and placed it on Sprout's forehead, "Look, I know it's a risk but we can't just let this little guy out on them own."

Sprout couldn't argue with that, It would be pretty cruel to let a baby dragon out on its own, "Okay, fair enough, I'm just-" he was cut off by his own cough- "Gahhh, nevermind, give me that soup-"

Hitch did so, while Sparky sway in his forearms, "I know that you worried but me and the others got this under control."

"I hope so, you know guys get way over your heads sometimes-" Sprout remarked, taking a sip of the soup, "And yeah, I know that rich coming from me but still, I don't want to lose you guys."

"I know, I know, and maybe we should find out where this guy came from-" Hitch took a deep breath, "His kind might be missing him."

Sprout paused, drinking the rest of his soup, and one hoof, Hitch seem very happy to have Sparky around, on the other, didn't Sunny say that dragon can grow bigger than most buildings?

"We- don't have to go looking now, I mean we don't know where to start and I'm sick."

Hitch breathes a sigh of relief, "Yeah- It won't be safe for either of us to start walking randomly."

"Exactly-" Sprout chuckled awkwardly, as he lay the empty bowl on a side desk, "might as well take of it ourselves until we find that information."

Hitch chuckled awkwardly as well, "Yep! That would be the right thing to do."

.....Geez, they were way out of their depth weren't they, two colt friends who know pretty nothing about dragons, rising a dragon.

Sure, he always wanted to rise a foal with Hitch, but this was not exactly what they had in mind, but you gotta take what you have.

"I'm going to get you another towel, your burning up pretty bad-" Hitch said, quickly changing the subject, "You wanna anything else- nothing unhealthy."

"Just some water and can you blow me a kiss."

"Of course and I'm going to hand Sparky off to Pipp," Hitch blows him a kiss before marching out of the room with Sparky still swaying in his forearms.

Sprout couldn't lie, the dragon was cute, maybe rising it would be a complete disaster.

Hopefully, both for the dragon's sake and Hitch's sake.

Chapter 6: Finally Nightmare Night

Summary:

Hitch leaves Sky in charge to go spend time with Sporut

Notes:

Hey guys, sorry it's been a minute I'm been very busy and been falling into other interests, I haven't yet caught up with gen 5 and definitely fell way behind, so sorry of this chapter is bit weird, I think this is going be the last one shot for a while . Hope you enjoy anyway!

Chapter Text

Nightmare night has fallen upon Martime Bay, colts and fillies alike dawn costumes of supposed foal tales, from the loving sucking changelings to the infamous greedy Dimond Dogs.

Hitch however wasn't in costume, patrolling the streets for any trouble.

Mind you, he would prefer to spend this lovely night with a certain red stallion, but someone need to keep this town safe .

As he turn a counter, he hear something fly behind him, quickly he spun around and saw...

Skyflower.

He wasn't even wearing a costume..

"Sky, you almost gave me a heartattack!"

Skyflower landed on the ground and shrugged, "Sorry, but what you doing patrolling, shouldn't you be sickly cute with Sporut?."

"Hey, we're the right amount of cute, thanks you very much." Hitch said, stepping closer to the Pegasus.

"Yeah, Yeah, I know, which is why I want to take your place." Skyflower offer, extending his hoof out.

"What?" Hitch eyes widen.

"You can have fun with the other, while I take down the bad guys. " Skyflower explained.

"I don't know Sky," Hitch rubs the back of his neck, "Your a little bit too layback for this kinda of work. "

"Nonsense!" Sky wave his wing dismissively,"Go hang with Sporut and I'll keep the steert clean."

Hitch frowned but sigh, "Well if you insist.."

"Yippe!" Sky does a flip in the air , then flew behind Hitch, pushing him foward, "Alright, go go, they're at the beach."

"But-"

"No buts, Sheifff Sky is now on duty!"

-------------------------------------

"Oh bestie, I know your upset, Hitch has work" Pip said, placing a wing over Sporut shoulder as walk toward their frist house "But I promise-"

"Hey guys!" Pip was cut off by Hitch dashing towards them, dawning last minute prite costume

"Hitch!" Spout beamed, embracing his coltfriend as he stop in front of him.

"Well, will you look at that." Pip grinned, "It's a nightmare night miracle. "

"Eh kind of," Hitch said, making a so-so motion as he and Sprout pulled apart, "Hey I like your cartoon-"

"Anime!" Sporut corrected, "Have you never watched Chainsaw stallion?"

"Chainsaw what?"

"HITCH!" Pip gasped, covering her mouth with her wings.

"Alright, after we get candy, your watching it with us." Sporut said, wrapping his forearm under Hitch's

"And that a fact," Pip added, flashing a devious grin.

"Alright, alright, but where's the others?" Hitch asked, as Pip knock on the door.

"They have a death wish and went to ride all Roller coasters at the fair." Spout answered, quivering.

"Brave, I hear they're extra scary tonight, " Hitch remarked.

"Yep!" Pip nodded, knocking on the door again.

This time, it open and a earthpony handed all three them candy.

"Thank you," they said, before heading off to the next house, with Hitc and Sprout exchanging kiss while Pip takes pictures of the various decorations around the bay.

------------------------------------

Once they collected a good amount of candy, they start to head back by to Hitch place to watch Chainsaw stallion, smoke start to cloud the air near the sheifff office

"Is something burning?" Sprout asked, sniffing the air.

"Oh no, Sky!" Hitch rise a hoof to his face.

"Don't tell me you let him take over.." Pip frowned, narrowing her eyes at Hitch.

"He said that he could handle it.." Hitch groaned.

"Alright, noted, never trust Sky with anything apparently," Sprout rolled his eyes.

"Yep!" Hitch agreed, racing towards the sheifff office, with Pip and Sprout closely behind.

He kicked open the door and saw...

Sky cooking hotdogs on a grill.

"Oh hey!" Sky waved.

Hitch was speechless.

"Why are you cooking hotdogs inside!" Sprout exclaimed.

"Oh, he's just like that sometimes, " Pip answered for him.

"Indeed I'm, " Sky beamed, scooping up one of the hotdogs and taking a bit, "You guys want any?"

"Only if you take it outside. " Hitch said, pointing at the door.

"Fine by me."

And so, the four of them, Hitch, Sprout, Pip and Sky, spread the rest of the night eating grilled hotdogs and watching chainsaw stallion.

Though in the distance, you could hear the screams of Izzy, Sunny and Zipp riding the dreaded flyclone, that however, is another story.
