Work Text:
The bed dips – sheets lifting, rustling, expensive comforter pulled back – warm body meeting cool cotton, a sigh and a shiver at the soft mattress, sharp inhale of breath as fingers brush over warm skin that has already been an occupant for hours --
You feel yourself being against a tall, lean form—Saeyoung smells like coconut and sea salt, and his breath smells like spearmint. It tickles your ear, gently waking you from strange, irrelevant dreams. You turn, head meeting bare sculpted pecs as you scramble to hug, short chubby legs intertwining with his. Hums of contentment escape your lips as long, talented fingers rub circles into your thin nightgown.
“Time is it...” -- a mumbled question, one you’re not sure you even desire to know.
“Five,” Saeyoung yawns, squeezing you.
“You carried me in here, earlier...”
“From the couch, yes,” Saeyoung chuckles. “You were so determined to stay awake, clutching your Valentine’s Day doll...”
“Wanted you to come to bed with meeeee.”
“Ah, hearing you say that, my love meter has gone up by six-hundred-six percent!”
Through the pitch-black of the early morning, you can hear the smile in Saeyoung’s voice and you grin.
Saeyoung presses a kiss to your hair and yawns again. “Sleep now, my love. I’m here.”
Nineteen hours of work, with proper food and bathroom breaks that you had to beg him to take—you knew that life with Saeyoung Choi wasn’t going to be easy, but even on his roughest of days, he still has little ways of letting you know that he cares about you. His love is infinite, even when he seems glued to his desk and computers—he's one of the hardest-working people that you’ve ever met.
“Your phone better be off,” you mutter.
“Ah, that probability is...”
“Saeyoung.”
“I’m kidding.”
“Mmmmm, you better be, or you’ll have one very unhappy wife.”
“Oh em gee, scary lady!!!!”
“That’s right.”
Saeyoung laughs, squeezing you tightly. “I’m sorry I woke you. You were sleeping so beautifully; I couldn’t help but want to hold you.”
“S’fine--” another yawn.
“I can’t believe I have you to hold when the day is done. No more cold and lonely bed. Only warmth and love and soft woman.” He grips hard at your curves, petting all over your back, drawing goosebumps to the top of your skin.
You sigh in contentment, inhaling the sweet scents of his shampoo and soap, his skin still slightly damp and clammy from a fresh shower. “Wanted to fall asleep with you...”
“You’re falling asleep with me now. Exclusive offer!”
A snort; “Oh, did I win the special raffle?”
“Bingoooooo,” Saeyoung sings, giggling. “Ding ding, attention everyone, Mrs. Choi is our winner, so please don’t forget to call her phone twenty times today and sing ‘Oh baby, you are a shooting star, my telescope sees only you...!’”
A bright laugh escapes your lips, and Saeyoung continues to make up goofy lyrics, his loving voice filling the huge, industrial bedroom.
He falls quiet after a minute of humming, and you feel your tired eyes start to droop once more.
This time, sleep comes more easily; and you drift off into dreams in Saeyoung’s arms.
