To bring the cheer to cheerleader

Summary:

It's no secret who Ladybug's biggest cheerleader is

prompt: knob

Notes:

More silly fluff! You didn't ask for it? Too bad, because this is the only kind I'm currently able to produce because my heart is too sad to deal with all the implications of canon. I need distraction and relationship fluff is the only possible one!

Work Text:

“A door knob? What the hell am I supposed to do with this?”

Not for the first time in her life, Marinette questioned her power and its usefulness. Sometimes she wasted so much time trying to figure out what the random object Tikki gave to her was. But she had to have faith.

“Well, I don’t want to sound like a knob, but you may need to use it the way it’s meant to be used,” Adrien suggested.

She shot him a look which he would certainly understand.

“Uh, what?” He laughed awkwardly.

“You’re lucky I’m already in love with you,” she sighed. Before focusing on her Lucky Charm again. She tapped her chin, looking at the nearby door. They had been forced to hide in this room. Instead of trying to get out, maybe they needed to make the most of it. Maybe Adrien’s idea wasn’t so ludicrous after all.

“I think I’ll need to lure them, make them stick to the doorknob. Go look for glue on the desk, hopefully there will be some.”

No surprise there - she’d managed to figure it out, as evidenced by the freed akuma and the person walking away after being freed from Hawk Moth’s influence.

“That was genius, like always, m’lady!” Adrien gushed in her ear, his arm loosely around her waist. There wasn’t anyone around and they had no reason to hide. So she turned around and flicked his bell playfully.

“You swoon when I recite the shopping list to you, kitty. So that’s not high praise coming from you.” He chuckled.

“Sorry, I can’t help it, I'm a sappy cat!”

“You are, but you’re still my sappy cat,” she concluded softly, leaning in to capture his lips with hers. She wouldn’t have him any other way.
