Can't believe that you are here with me

An unexpected visit is the best way to wish someone goodnight.

Prompt: window

Notes:

The fluff keeps coming!

Work Text:

At first, Adrien was sure that she was a vision. Why would Marinette materialise outside his room so late at night? Maybe it was his desire to see her that made this disturbing daydream. Maybe he just needed to sleep.

Then he realised it was really her, on his window. She looked breathtaking. Her hair blowing in the wind and the rain.. Wait, the rain.

Quickly, he took a few steps to his door and locked it, before rushing to open the window and let her in.

“What are you doing here?” He asked, her hand cold in his, as she tried to shake off the droplets of water from her suit.

“I just needed to see you for a minute,” she sounded out of breath, as if she’d been running, trying to get to him as fast as possible. “For a kiss. I know it’s dangerous, I just…” she was babbling and obviously having second thoughts.

She’d gone out in the rain and cold. Marinette, the one who always insisted on never misusing the suits and powers. She’d done it for him. Because she missed him so much.

He just pulled her to him, not minding getting his pyjamas wet, and kissed her. He gently brushed her damp hair out of her face and held her like the most precious person in the world. She was his everything.

“Thank you for coming, I needed this,” he whispered after that, resting his forehead against hers. He could still taste her, could still feel her so vividly. This feeling would envelop him like the warmest blanket until he fell asleep.

“I love you, Adrien,” she smiled. It wasn’t the first time she’d said it. It wasn’t even the tenth or 20th time. But it still made his heart do this whole complicated dance. She was there, she loved him, it was real.

“I love you more, m’lady.”

He didn’t let her rebut the statement, instead engaging her lips in a much more pleasant manner.
