”fine.” ”fine!”
fine. fine. fine. fine. FINE!
how much of an idiot could he be?
xingqiu yelled, and kicked, and grabbed at his hair.
an hour. he had been here for an hour. he had no way to get home, chongyun was the one who lead him out.
arguments are so stupid. especially with a dumb boy. the same dumb boy he’d like to he his boyf—
nevermind.
xingqiu just wanted to hug chongyun. he really, really wanted to hug him. he always has. chongyun just had a talent from avoiding any form of contact.
he tried. today, infact. maybe chongyun took it as assault? he was the one who sparked the argument.
xingqiu walked aimlessly around and started a particular patch of bushes that seemed to interest him.
apparently, these bushes were so emotional that he started to tear up. how annoying.
chongyun was the one who had left him lost and alone, hadn’t he? HE should be crying. not xingqiu.
its not xingqiu’s fault chongyun was brash and selfish. no, he’ll leave that guilt to chongyun.
its not XINGQIU’S fault that he (accidentally) pushed chongyun into a serious meltdown. no. well, yes? alright. one point for chongyun.
WHY had chongyun gone into the meltdown? xingqiu doesn’t know, its not like he needed to. he didn’t need to apologize for it!
it happens all the time, chongyun’s yang energy acts up, and boom! he goes bonkers.
it wasn’t any different, right?
of course, the universe was seemingly against him, so his attention to the bushes distracted him from the rock, causing him to trip.
amazing.
“crying, and i tripped. i’m blaming this on chongyun”
brushing himself off, xingqiu set off once again. only this time, he was hyperfocused on his surroundings. one trip was enough.
maybe, 15 minutes? and he walked into a clearing. it was a pretty clearing.
xingqiu sighed, tired. he looked for a place to sit. what he found, was not a place to sit.
across the small field, chongyun, crouched on the ground, shook his head and got up.
xingqiu moved quietly, a nice surprise would bring up the mood.
maybe the universe wanted to fight? xingqiu had been working on his bladework.
chongyun turned around, and his eyes settled on xingqiu.
well, here goes nothing.
xingqiu began to move, his pace transitioning into a run as he tackled chongyun. his arms wrapped around his neck, placing his chin between it. chongyun tensed up. xingqiu almost laughed.
after some time, xingqiu pulled away, analyzing chongyun. chongyun’s eyes narrowed, following suit. xingqiu ducked his head down, hiding his smile.
nervous? why was he nervous? he didn’t do anything, so theres nothing to be nervous about.
“you came to hug me? where’s my apology?”
apology? as in, chongyun wanted xingqiu to apologize?
apologize? no, chongyun was the one who started the argument. xingqiu was in the right here. being mad at an incident just a hindrance.
“hm, how do i start? dearest chongy-“
“stop.”
“sorry.”
“do you even know what you’re apologizing for?”
“i’m sorry for … for making your yang energy act up ? and causing a meltdown?”
xingqiu looked back up, chongyun’s eyes were still narrowed.
icy.
“how about i get you back, then?”
xingqiu took a step back, almost pulling away.
almost.
chongyun grabbed his face, (how annoying. doesn’t he know how unflattering xingqiu looks like that?) and stared. he waited a second, maybe two, and left xingqiu a short kiss, on the LIPS (!!!!!)
another.
and another.
then, xingqiu, who was feeling quite dazed, stared. then blinked, then stared some more.
chongyun wasted no time and leaned in and kissed him for longer.
he pulled away, and grabbed hold of xingqiu’s waist.
“sorry for leaving you alone.”
xingqiu blinked again, then started. he thought carefully, as to not make chongyun mad.
“how long have you been working up the courage for that?”
“trust me, too long.”
“i’m glad to know you keep me in your thoughts so often.”
“shut up, you’re treating me to a meal.”
“does that mean we’re going home, now?”
chongyun laughed. a full, beautiful, laugh.
“where else would we go? surely you don't want to stay, do you?”
“absolutely not. lets go.”
