Rui’s mic has been acting a bit wacky since the beginning of the stream. Sometimes it would cut off in the middle of a sentence, then it would come back. It was a bit bothersome, but ultimately, Rui was able to deal with it just fine. It’s not like he was talking that much anyway. He has just been commenting on a few things, letting his fellow group members do all the talking meanwhile he stayed silent.
Then, they got a donation from somebody.
[ Rui!! Can you sing us a song?? I’d love to hear you sing “the Snow White princess is”!! ]
Odd song choice for him of all people, but Rui has listened to the song a couple of times.
“Well... I suppose I can, fufu.” He shrugged, a small smile forming on his face as he looked at the camera. He then went over to his set up, and started playing the instrumental of the song.
When Rui started singing, everything was fine. Everything was normal.
“ mou sugu de inaku— “
He heard a noise coming from his earpiece.
“— naru no ka na...?”
Suddenly, his voice was quiet. At least for the audience. ‘ Oh, shit... My mic stopped working... ’ he thought to himself, biting his lip nervously. He turned to look at his members, all of them with a look of shock on their faces.
Rui had to do something.
But he knew he couldn’t get another earpiece in time, the song was going. He was lucky enough for the instrumental break, but now he had to act quick.
He looked to his side, spotting Tsukasa and looking directly at the microphone. It was at that moment where he grabbed Tsukasa by his collar and pulled him in very close. Only mere inches keeping the two from touching each other’s faces.
The other looked absolutely mortified, but Rui ignored it for now. And continued to finish the song, holding the other closely as he sang through the other’s mic.
When Rui finally finished the song, he stepped away from the other and directed his attention towards the camera. Bowing with a small smile on his face once again.
“I apologize for the inconvenience.” He sighed. “I should’ve known my mic was going to give out...” he frowned, then took a glimpse at his other members, who were staring at him. Or to be rather specific, Tsukasa and Nene were staring at him whilst Emu laughed.
“Something the matter?” He asked, raising a brow. Tsukasa was red, very red. And Nene looked very confused.
“What do you mean?” His childhood friend blinked, with a look on her face screaming ‘you don’t know?’.
Then...
“I THOUGHT YOU TWO WERE GOING TO KISS!!” Gasped out a laughing Emu, who was nearly crying from how much she was laughing. Rui was confused, but then when he paused to think about it...
“...oh my god, Tsukasa-kun I’m so sorry.” Now he was the one looking mortified, embarrassed, flustered . He genuinely did not realize what he had done.
