Work Text:
“Josuke, what the hell? You promised I could go first!” You scream while banging on the bathroom door. Once again, Josuke is hogging the bathroom. Even though he promised he’ll let you go first for wash day.
“Babe, you know I got work today. You should’ve woken up earlier.” He replies from the bathroom, making a vein pop on your forehead. You swear he's gonna be the death of you.
“Seriously?!”
“I'm almost done, relax.” He sighs. You aggressively open the door to see Josuke, not even halfway done. You cross your arms in disbelief.
“Almost done my ass!” You exclaim with a chuckle as you pinch the bridge of your nose. This man is something else.
“Lay off will ya?!” He jokes.
“But you did say I could go first though, kinda lame that you backed out on that promise.” You tease with your eyebrow raised. Josuke puts his hair spray down, giving you that same goofy grin that made you fall in love with him in the first place. He walks over to you and crouches down to your height to give you a peck on the forehead.
“I know, but you know with my job I have to be there early. I’m sorry princess.” He said pinching your cheek, making you giggle softly. Josuke’s favorite feature on you besides your afro has always been your chipmunk cheeks. He always loves squeezing them whether in public or private. You do realize he has a point though. With him being a paramedic and you mostly being the resident housewife while finishing your degree, he leaves the house a lot more.
“I got a proposition.”
“Hm?” He responds with raised eyebrows.
“How about I help you? I mean, you’ve helped me braid my hair on multiple occasions. I don’t mind helping you out.” You suggest.
“You know babe, I don’t deserve you.”
“I don’t deserve you.” You retort, giving him a firm hug. You spend the next 45 minutes helping Josuke with his hair until he is completely ready for work.
“Have a great day at work babe, I’ll be sure to have something hot and ready for you when you get home.” You say with a wink. He gives you a quick passionate kiss in response before leaving for his car.
“ I’ll see you tonight! Love ya, babe!”
“Love you too.” You say with a soft grin as you see your husband leave the driveway.
