Chapter 1: meet me at our spot

Chapter Text

"All I'm saying Nardole is when I'm on a date, when that rare and special thing happens in my life, don't, for the love of sanity, burst in talking about the Pope!" Not listening to the reply, Bill hung up, massaging her temples. Her flatmate could be really infuriating sometimes, but he was a laugh and had got a brilliant discount on their flat. She picked up the cup of tea beside her and checked her phone again. Still nothing from Jo. Maybe she was caught up in something again and had lost her phone. Definitely wouldn't be unheard of. Maybe their group chat would know where she was.

Pottsy: Anyone knows where Jo is?

12:No, Sorry @Yas?

Yas: sorry, not with me or ryan

12:Maybe she's with Sarah-Jane?

Pottsy: I'll ask

Before she did so, Bill looked up, and, speak of the devil (and she shall appear), walking towards her was Jo, resplendent with her usual blonde wavy bob, rainbow patterned shirt and baggy trousers.

"Sorry I'm late, Bill," Jo looked nervous, chewing on her nails.

"It's fine," Bill shrugged, although she looked exasperated. "What were you caught up with this time?"

Jo brightened.

"Oh, Sarah-Jane and I were investigating a dodgy arcade," Here, Jo winced. "Turns out it was just as dodgy as the standard arcade."

Jo dropped down into the seat opposite Bill.

"Any chance I could get a custard cream?"

Later On...

"She's the prettiest person I've ever seen, Jo," Bill told her friend, punctuating her point by setting down her cup with a clink.

Rifling through her mental list of all the people she knew (Which was a lot), Jo asked: "What's her name?"

"Heather, "Bill answered confidently. "Not sure of her surname. She has hair sort of like yours- blonde and wavy. She's got amber eyes, one of them looks like a star."

Bill looked back up to Jo.

"You were rambling again," Jo grinned. "You sound like me about Yaz."
