Chapter Text
The wind whistled through the gap in the window, a cool evening breeze makes it way around the jeep. The breeze was a pleasant addition to the drive home after a long mission. The team had been away for 21 days on an under cover op, so the break Matty had given them was much appreciated. Mac couldn't wait to sit down with a cold beer or two and catch up on some well needed rest.
The roads where clear and the sunset was just finishing it's decent behind the LA skyline. He was ten minutes from home when everything took a turn for the worse.
Bright lights came flooding into the car, strong and fast. Mac squinted and attempted to apply the breaks as his sight because compromised. The impact of the car bought pain down Mac's side, shattered glass flew through the car, catching his face, neck and arms like a knife through butter. The jeep creaked as it bent, veering off the road. Trees, rockas and mud tore through the jeep catching Mac in its wake.
Mac was awake for roughly two rolls before the pain and his head caused him to black out. They continued to roll for a few more feet before they came to a hault. Wheels spinning in the air, headlights flickering and The body mangled.
Mac was in and out of consciousness, everytime he opened his eyes it was short lived, but enough to feel the damage his body had endured. Before he completely gave into the darkness, he noticed hazy figures heading towards him.
